Im finally going pro....
Not racer but pro shop owner. After an incredible year of being at my house I finally got up the nut to open doors to the public and start tuning, building and maintaining hondas. Thanks to all the Honda Tech members for your support, locally and abroad. sixtydashone, Quick Chris, Earl, and about a million others.

Congrats man!! I (we) started our shop about 5 months ago and so far so good. Broke as ****, but building from ground up isnt the easiest to do.
Looks like plenty of good shop space and showroom. We are already needing a bigger spot cause space closes up quick.
How big is the property?? How much do you pay if you dont mind my asking....take it to PM if you like.

G'luck with everything
my friends and i have a registered business/shop but it is just a little side thing (basically so we could work on our own cars
)..I admire you for going through with everything...
I think the only thing im gonna regret about leaving this **** hole next year is how cheap our shop is. 3500sq ft (35x100) for $440 a month lol. It is in the middle of the ghetto though and i worry about tools/cars every night

OOohh, THats an awesome idea. I built it to be a cleanroom and place to store the air compressor but I like your idea better. Its definatly too small to fit the pool table into.
It is 3100SQFT and the rent is $1600 a month gross.
Im so used to being broke that its no big deal. I will just keep plugging away and see where it takes me. Still 100000X better than having a jerkoff boss..

Learn to love it...and say goodbye to all your friends, unless they are into cars
Be prepared to become\remain single also...
Did I mention being broke?

I wish you the best of luck. Like others have said it is really tough. I have a pretty understanding wife but sometimes it gets out of hand. We try really hard to do the best work we can and run an honest business, something that is a rarity in this industry anymore. Unfortunately if you fulfill this is usually means long long hours and very little pay, especially if you dont have a formal financial backing.
stay focused, think hard about your decisions, and enjoy being your own boss are my words of wisdom to you. good luck man!
