the ashtray surround (where you insert the ashtray into) definitely does not fit, nor does the a/c vent because the tab is on the wrong side. These are first hand experience accounts.

I had them In the car that i just bought and the whole ashtrey area had to be moded to make them fit. And even after all that being moded they still did not fit correct. I suggest getting the RHD shift consol. I'm pretty sure it should fit without any problems. And then you can have your JDM CF stuff.

Edit: On the other hand.......The climate control did seem to fit fine and it is still in my car.

The RHD console does not fit. Curves the wrong direction. I'm need the USDM CF Driver and passenger vents since mine are broke but the USDM pieces are VERY hard to find.

The climate control and cup holder will fit as it seems to be universal ( i got mine from an itr in japan and it screwed on just fine ). The driver's side vent, center console and the ash tray / cig lighter will not fit unless you're planning on also getting a RHD dash and converting it. You might as well pick up the USDM ITR's center console with the ash tray and cig lighter AND the Driver's side vent. The piece called the arm rest eliminator will fit the USDM integras. The carbon fiber power window switch covers ( which I have not seen on any USDM Type Rs at acura ) will require minor modification on the door panel to make em fit, but that only pertains to the driver's side one as it was meant to go on what we call the "passenger" door. The Passenger side carbon fiber switch cover will fit on either side. Oh and not to forget....if you do get the set of carbon fiber switch covers, you're going to NEED the RHD driver's side switch unit ( this is where the minor modification comes in ). I've tried to screw on the USDM switch unit...but it absolutely will not go on the JDM carbon fiber cover ( once you try to dry fit it, you'll see what I mean ). I know this because I've converted my once tan LS interior into the ITR interior with as much JDM parts that will fit given that its still LHD. Just waiting on the Recaros to come in and everything will be completed. Any Q's just ask

So the JDM Ashtray wont fit?...crap...one just went on ebay for $9. I would have got it until reading this. I've been looking for the pieces but they are insanely hard to find. Please if you find any post the links here. Also I logged in your photo album and you got what I got. The type r number plate. I plan on using aluminum rivets to put mine in clean. Got any pics of yours installed?

I haven't got the plate installed yet....but I plan on it soon. Its one of those...not so high in the priority list right now. And dope silver....lol....that mouse was askin for it. But that's another story. I have almost everything in there ( JDM and USDM )dopesilver....I even have an extra gauge bezzle because I plan on converting it over the 5spd manual soon So it won't be auto much longer. Like I told elwood...once my 5 lug gets completed I'll take pics and post it up...somehow...and list what can be used off a JDM type R and what has to be used off a USDM type R if someone wants to take on this lil interior project. I swapped my entire LS Tan ( yuck ) interior over to the ones in the album in 2 days

How do you get the cluster to line up right. I heard swap the green backings on the back and they work fine. But then I heard some lights stay on.

i was lucky... the cluster was from the same year model, a 97. just plug and play. just remember... 98+ dont fit 97- and visa versa, of course without modifications. i haven't had any problems with it (besides having to calculate kph and mph).

That's odd.....I had two guage bezzles come from a 98 spec type R from japan....both of them lined up just fine and i have a 96 Integra. Green backings??? Are you talking about that circuit plate or whatever? Hell I just swapped the whole thing But I have toyed with the idea of just swapping out the fuel, temperature and tach guages to my current housing.....well....seeing as how they are attached by screws..... Then again...I took one apart and put it back together ( still worked fine btw ) and thought of maybe just...swapping the faces of the guage. Though...on my guage....I just swapped over the yellow guage needles and the carbon fiber face plate. Callibrating the speedo needle was a PITA though....

yea..after lookin at mine, that and the A/C climate control unit and the cupholder cover is the only pieces off a JDM ITR that will fit in the center console area. The cigarette lighter cover will not. You will have to get that off of a USDM type R. The cover where the shift boot is...that one you will also have to get off a USDM ITR. Pics will be up next week to show the entire interior And I'll try to lable them too so people wanting to do this will have a reference point

That is unless someone else beats me to it

I need to find some USDM Drivers and passenger vents because my stock GSR ones are broke. Also my stock GSR Ashtray is for sale and its painted silver. I also need the USDM window switches. And as many other parts as I can get. I found a JDM cupholder but its a little pricey...($30)

well if you're going to convert to the itr carbon fiber...it is going to be pricey. I know it broke my wallet lol.....

keep in mind though JDM or USDM...both passenger side vents were black for the itr. Neither had carbon fiber ( someone asked me that before ). You can try junk yards for the passenger vent or....dig up some extra cash and go to an acura dealership or something. Keep also in mind that the USDM itrs never had the carbon fiber window switch covers...only the JDM ones did, and if you wanted to go jdm, then you'd have to get the jdm rhd driver's side switch too and do a lil modding on the door panel to make it fit.

How do you exactly "modify" the window switches to fit. And where can I find a place to get the USDM shift surrond? And is the stock shift boot suede or leather? I found a few on ebay. Also I guess I will need the red stitched armrest considering mine is horrible at the moment. If you find any parts I or anyone else could use, post the links up here.

The stock shift boot from what I have found is always leather. You can tell if its fake when you look at the stitching. OEM always uses that nice thick red threads...while fakes ones use the thin ones you can find at a fabric store or walmart And that applies to anything with red stitching unless someone makes one with the fine thick red stitching......oh yea....the arm rest console part is suede...not leather. Aftermarket reproductions have came in leather and suede...but look for the stitching The only two places I've found where you can find the piece that surrounds the shiftboot is either ebay, or junkyard ( if you're looking for cheaper prices ) and sometimes if you go through ebay, you might end up buying the entire shift console Barring that, you may have to fork out about $120- $180 at acura dealerships just for that ONE piece.

As far as modifying the door panels to get the JDM RHD Driver's side switch unit to fit so you can get the carbon look cover on there, once you take off the door panel you'll notice on the inside there's "splines" or....ribs so to speak. One of them...you'll kinda have to break off first by sawing or cutting through to the base of the door panel and then using a needle nose plier....break off enough to get the unit to fit. Since its inside the door panel...no one's going to see it so no worries. But be careful. You'll know exactly what I'm talking about once you "dry fit" the unit on. And its the same for any integra door panel. Not so sure about civics though.....I have seen only one person do that, and didn't ask how they got it to fit. The passenger side carbon switch cover is no biggie. The USDM and JDM switch unit will fit and you'll notice you can put it on either side Hope this helps.
