Default Seafoam - It worked for me!

I have a 89 Sedan with 60k miles. When I bought it, it was obvious that the previous owner (old woman) didn't keep up with maintainence. The coolant was brown, and the inside of the engine wasn't very clean, I'm guessing she didn't keep up with proper oil change intervals. Anyway, I went out and bought some Seafoam. (Yes, it is a magical engine cleaner)

I pour 1/3 of the can into my brake booster. The car chugs and wants to stall out at times.

I shut the car off after it was done drinking, and started her up 10 minutes later. Look at the smoke!

1/3 of the can in the crankcase...

And the rest in the gas tank.

After the idle started to smooth out, I noticed that the car idled a lot smoother, drove smoother, and it wasn't as loud... I haven't even changed the plugs/cap/rotor and wires yet! I didn't believe it, but now I do. Seafoam is a magical engine cleaner! Well, my honda is happier anyway.

Wonder how it would work on my '89 Si with 175k...

When I check the oil level, the oil usually looks kinda dirty, even if it's been changed recently. Do you think the Seafoam would help with that? Also, do you think it'd help to take the oil pan off, replace the gasket and clean out the pan real well? I wonder if a bunch of junk in the oil has settled in the pan.

I think it would help, when I remove my valve cover in a week or so, I'll post up some pictures and we'll see how much cleaner it is.

How's this stuff affect the cat? I've heard that a lot of times, cat's would get clogged from all the carbon that it breaks down from the engine. If i do it, i might do it and run open header for that period? Make any sense?

Stick a funnel in the brake booster hose, and pour the seafoam in the funnel in small amounts, you'll hear the car "drinking"

At first, I thought you meant you poured it into the actual brake booster, but i know you're too smart for that. Lol. Now pour it in your hatch.
