Default q45 80mm throttle body on h22

Is anyone out there using a Q45 throttle body on any high hp cars?

The inlet measures 85mm and the butterfly measures somewhere between 80 and 82mm . I know that the Apexi Drag Integra was using that throttle body with a stock h22 manifold (with increased plenum volume), but I am looking to see if anyone else has ever used such a giant unit on a Honda.

I will have take some pics of it tommorow after I finish the severe boring which is required to make the throttle body spacer fit on the manifold.

I use one on my car, works damn good, tps is compatable with hondas, its something like 90mm at the hole and 85mm at the plate. I bought mine used for $90.

Q45 TB is 90MM at the inlet and the blade is 85MM. You're looking for one off of a 1990-1992 model, before they had traction control. Here's a pic from supraforums, comparing it to the stock supra TB, which IIRC is 75MM.

Correct! ...and it is not much of an adapter plate, it is pretty much just a square piece of metal with 4 bolts to hold the throttle body on. It has to be welded on to the existing manifold.

That is part of the reason why I started this post. I want to see who is using a giant throttle body on a FI Honda and how it functions.

from what I've heard, the throttle reponse of something that big won't be all that good

i am also curious about it though because if it works well, I want to use that throttle body, too.

Infinity Q45, because obviously you didn't know what a q45 was. .

I am completely redoing the whole setup...h22 fully built & ported head, built h23 block, 4" downpipe, new manifold, 3" intercooler piping, etc. I was looking for a throttle body around 70mm and I stumbled on this one for a price I couldn't refuse. With my old 60mm throttle body being a potential bottleneck in the system I think that the 82mm (which can flow ~twice as much air) will work out great. I will be needed if I trying to reach 700+ whp this year.

Actualy all of Infinity cars here was delivered from USA. So, I don't have any idea how looks like Q45 model. The are only maybe 10-20 cars in country. I saw the throtel pic, but it dose not help me find out what kind of car have it.
Ok. I will do some search in web.

Sorry Guy's.
