Hottest/Fasest First Gen CRX SI?
anyone have links of some really good looking first gen crx's? and some pretty fast ones with interesting swaps? because all of the rexs that look good and are hella fast are all second gen...
anyways, if yall know of some links or pics, plz post, thx!

Thats at VIR at a honda challenge event. Not a street car, but cool none the less.
I was driving at VIR last time and pointed by a black 1st gen. I never saw him again, and by the way he went by, he had to have a B series in there. I passed a lot of people, but he was just plain GONE.
More 1st gens please!

whats the most common swap for 1st gens since some stuff wont fit w/o crazy mods? B16 or D16y built up?

right but 600 for just mounts, 1.200 for engine, additional 800 if i have someone install it. axels, cables, ecu...ect?
is it cheaper to go that way?
or get a D16Y that will bolt up, and tune it with some internals?
because right now im working at Best Buy, 7.25 an hour and im saving for a while new swap. trying to figure out what ican get the best bang for the buck... and my clutch is currently going out...but thats also another possibilty, swap a clutch and keep my current engine...

i know that somewhere on here there is an H22 1st gen CRX...i remember seeing it once and they claimed it to be a 11 second (my memory sucks i could easily be wrong) daily driver
87-89 teg motor...is that the LS engine? do you know the code for it by any chance?

thats what i was told too. brown will drop right in but the black wont drop in. the ZC i was gonna buy in the beater crx which was a brandnew engine, but blacktop... would have been useless to meh.
Hey good luck at http://www.redpepperracing.com I have spent a lot of time on there. There are helpful people on there that are willing to help but alot of them will tell you to hit up the FAQs when there is useless answers in it. LOL after over a month of studying I am still not totally there on how to do the swap.
I have a 85 CRX DX (carbed) and I am planning on dropping a b18a1 or b18b in there for right now. (Since its my winter beater
) yeah if your car is carbed you have A LOT of work ahead of you. I know cause I am in that position.
A d16a1 swaps right into a Si or a DX/HF converted SI. You will need the complete swap, ecu, axles, front knuckles and i think one of the engine mounts.
There is also a ZC one but I am not familiar with it.
The difference between the brown and black (off the top of my head) is that the they have different dizzy or ignition advance. Something like that.
If you search hard enough you will find some answers. lol.
A guy actually just did a write up on HOW-TO-SWAP a b16 in it. Not a very detailed write up but gets the point acrossed.
