the first teg (silver) is best looking, except that mugen pin stripe

nothing beats a JDM conversion with C-west front bumper, **drooooool**

just because a car has spoon wheels and jdm lights does not make it JDM. What you think is JDM is actually USDM. Its a trend that started here a few years ago (most notably by FFsquad). Its an emulation of JDM.

Let's just go on appearance alone, since thats what most of you care about anyways. Flip through a japanese mag and look at the cars. Now look at the cars you commonly see on these message boards and at carshows like the pictures posted above. Not too similar if you ask me.

I doubt many of us who buy parts for our cars do it cuz its the trend. How many of you agree you buy something because you like it and not because Archie, Jughead & the gang have it? So you say JDM has gone too far? I don't see how, all this does is get us better parts from Japan because of this booming market.

Its good to see this at shows in fact. I think its good in hopes that Honda and Toyota will wake up and bring better cars over here.

Take it from someone who has spent time living in Japan..he'll tell you what JDM is..http://civicsi.b16a.com/pages/jdm.htm

One day you guys will learn.

VPC, You make a very good point bro.....I'd also like to add that I enjoy going to shows more now because I actually see cars that are done up the way I like, instead of seeing the wild altezza light, bodykit bullshit...Hell, the clean style has always been around...Its just that now its starting to come back into the mainstream...I remember back in 93 when i was fixin up my accord, there were a lot of clean cars that people say " its JDM" nowadays. Here in socal, the tightest crews back then were Team ZIGGY(my homies), Devine Wind, and Team Kosuku. They had rides that were done up clean style to the fullest, they had the cars that i Loved and looked up to. damn, its great the clean look is back...!

i remember those days. i'm glad to see someone agrees with me and you're so right. the style that is going on right now is reminiscent of those days of the mid-90's. I remember a black civic coupe in teamZIGGY w/ red rims that I jocked so hard. I still have old import showoff pamplets w/ cars that I look at from time to time. I still have an album full of pics of those cars as well. You pinpointed what is going on way better than me.

Again..what I said is my opinion. So don't turn your flame mode on.

Btw chris...converting a teg w/ a jdm front end is still not jdm. you obviously skimmed over my post.

you called a teg w/ jdm front end and spoons "jdm". don't change your word.

and yes I do pay attention but I could really care less about what they think. they can think/do whatever they want to their cars. its a free world.

what i want to know is..why do you suddenly change your stance and its suddenly now a "we" thing? did you forget about your posts up top?

actually I do pay attention to what others think and I'm well aware of what others think. if I didn't then why are we arguing over this at 3 am? What you fail to recognize is that I just don't care what others think.

However its nice to see that you're back on the bandwagon. Its also nice to see you explain to me that Spoon is JDM. So...let's say a guy named Masaru in Japan has a ae86. He's got all HKS stuff on his car. Does he look at his car and go "my car is JDM"? You don't understand what jdm is. Back in 94 a civic with SSR wheels was a car that was fixed up. That same car today is..what..JDM? How so?

chris, and VPC....aww c'mon..both u guys and also me are into the same stuff...let's not argue a stupid point....Clean, JDM, whatever...It's all good! yes, there are many newbies who jumped into the "JDM" bandwagon bcuz its the flava of the month, then there are the old ******* like me who have been loving this **** for years....Both groups enjoy the same things so its all gravy...Its like if some newbie see's a dropped DA on Sparco NS2's, with a mugen kit, 1pc, and other stuff...The newbie would say that is "JDM" and the old ***** would say's it's the OG clean look....it just depends on how u look at things..

yep, ss-squad dave put it best. i love reading that ****, it makes me roll on my ***...
it just like people saying that they are or listen to hiphop, but all they listen to is main stream bullshit.
ask them about some hardcore underground **** and they wont even know... ****, most peeps probably think Del(funky homo)
just came out because they heard him on that gorillaz song... but whatever floats your boat, my piggy wiggy teggy is a *******
rust, dented, chipped/cracked fr bumper. but ask me if i give a ****, i'd rather have my motor outlast and perform the body...
wheels can fall off, but if im able to throw that motor into anothere bucket til the wheels fall off of that one then thats all im concerned with. spoons/rotas-dont care, there both lite weight rims. and whatever i can afford.
dont give a ****, im low budget and lovin it.
as they say, "its not whats on the outside, it whats on the inside"...
and this is just my o-pini-on...

because it is jdm thats why i called it jdm, spoon wheels are jdm wheels made for a japanese market not an american market
desmonds who makes spoons are made by russians for the circuit market not the japanese market. theres just more circuit racing done in asia than in america.
