well first thing is you need a lot of money.

try using the search feature on the site. It will give you a wealth of info...

What hasport mounts did you want him to use ? Hasport does not make mounts yet for this engine swap.

hey i really appreciate all of the feedback...i understand that it is a heavier motor but i am building it to run at the track...i have found a place Enjo Racing that has mounts, axles, and shift linkage for the h series into a crx...if i perchase these products will the swap go in pretty easily? or will i still have to do custom work and stuff? and also what is the best way to reinforece the suspension? thanks alot

If I were you, I would seriously buy an adapter plate from that guy on these forums, and just use a B series tranny. That way, the engine doesnt weigh as much (because of the H series tranny being replaced), and also its much easier to install everything, and you just have to buy EF mounts. So all you need is to ahve your car setup with the EF Mounts and B16 tranny, get yourself that plate and a H22a block, then your set to go.

i appreciate all of the feedback and tips...i was considering the adapter plate for the tranny but i am trying to find out if a b-series ratios are better than the h-series....does anybody know which is better for the h22 motor? because my first thought would be to stick with the tranny that honda made for the motor...but i would appreciate anybodys imput on that...where can i buy the plate?

on the websight it says you need to call for for pricing...i havent called yet but i am planning on doing it soon...when i do call i will post up and let you know how much everything will be roughly...

keep the feedback and tips coming in i need all the help i can get...thanks...

they wouldnt make the adaptor plate if the ratios where better on the h22 tranny.

The b series h22 combo would rule. If i was to h22 my rex it would definatly have to be with a b16 tranny.

nah...

you need to know (or learn, like i did) how to fabricate.. and have to have some patience.

i'd like to see more people try out that adapter plate though.. i wish that was around when i started.

i talked to a guy here who i guess you can call the h22 guru in the city, hes got his own business and such...his other car is a h22 crx, and basically he told me its not worth it and to do a B swap...he said to swap into an EG would take him about 3-4 days for a good clean swap hiding wires and everything...and it took him over a month to do his crx....i was all about trying the h22 crx until i talked to him, now i think im gonna go b18c or a turbo ls

what made them change their minds? is it the breaking axles thing or the custom frabrication needed.

hey thanks for the info...do you know how much he wants for it? and what made him change his mind? and also where is he located? thanks alot

i am planning on going to romar industries and having them do the sawp for me...im not sure if anybody has heard of them...but i heard that they are amazing with motor work...i know that it is a hell of a swap and a lot of work, and i understand what it is going to take to do the wap i just dont have the experience or the tools to perform the swap myself...i have done my friends swaps for them (b16 into a ef hatch, ls into a crx, and gsr into a 94 coupe) but nothing this extreme...if anybody knows what a good price for the complete swap including wireing would be could you please let me know...thanks

Travis

Im just saying is it worth the hassles of a months worth of work, just for 20hp, or have it done in a weekend? I guess if you have the time its alright.

Do you have any pics of this setup? How much boost could I run safely everyday on my H22A1 crx?

Just go B-series unless you have the time and effort to put into a H22 swap. This kind of swap isn't going to happen in one weekend.

i saw a very clean way to mount an h22 in a DA the other day by a member on here. its different than 2point2's way and the HtoB plate route but looks sweet. he cut out the integra chassis mounts and welded in factory prelude ones. in doing this, he was also able to use stock motor mounts. very cool in my opinion.

I would still need a custom tranny mount but I should have tried drilling out the lude chassis mount and welding it to my chassis.
