well we headed to the dyno tonight, and we tried to romulate and burn, new chips for my turbo hatch, but we ended up taking about 3 hours just to get my car to run again.

i totally trust the operator, hes a well known source on here, but i really think that if its too good to be true, as in FREE, it cant be all that good.

we couldnt even burn a chip or romulate in whatever the hell 1.7 version, and then 1.66 wouldnt do much of crap either, i dont understand, if you add 40% fuel in uberdata how in the hell do you end up 3 points leaner on a wideband.

this is just an angrey rant and rave at uberdata

Don't blame uberdata for telling your ecu to output the wrong information. It only knows what information YOU gave it.

Uberdata is a VERY powerful program and if you have ever done any research on any other programmable engine management, You'd know what a great service UberTeg has done for the honda community.

Because Uberdata is 100% non-profit and free and for this kid to bitch and moan about it is ridiculous because the amount of money invested is little to nothing. $50 for a chip burner, big ******* deal. Cry me a river. If you complain about spending money on the tuning session, maybe you should complain about your tuner not knowing what the hell they are doing and saying they could tune UD when they obviously dont know how.

 

You know if you went in on Uberdata thinking everything was going to be as easy and great as Hondata then your wrong. Yes it does all the same things as Hondata, but most everyone here who runs Uberdata came into a problem some time. Whether it was soldering to the ECU (me), burning a chip (me), getting the 3 bar map sensor to work (me), adjusting the ignition and fuel values manually because of the 3 bar map sensor (me), getting datalogging to work (me), and anything else that I didn't come across. So was it all worth it....absolutley . I know more about my ECU and how things operate now that I had to research it and figure things out.

IMO Uberdata is a DIY hondata. If you don't want to spend a little time learning and doing this your self, Uberdata is not for you. Hondata is the solution for a pain-less install. but if you are willing to trade time(alongs comes knowledge) for money, then Uberdata is right for you. Simple as that for my opinion.

 

first off im not a kid.......second off the tuner who did my car has tuned more hondata and crome set ups then you have riden in hondas. if he wants to speak up then he can.

2nd i HAVE used uberdata for over a year.....and i knwo blake as well...personally, so i can say what i want or is this still a free country.

im not crying a river nor did i bitch about tuning costs. i didnt pay a dime, its good when your buddy owns the dyno, all im saying is something int eh script is wrong, and its way off.

That has got to be the best thing I have ever heard on this forum yet.

Why not learn how to use it before you take it to a dyno. Uberdata is for people who are willing to learn how to use the program. If the guy never used it before on a 3bar, this outcome was to be expected

No, Andy, you forgot to update the front page with that version. It's your fault!

So, yeah... I have people driving a couple hours to have me make their cars not start. I tune 2-4 cars a week with 1.70, zero problems with Ubercrap itself.

I bet that you could have saved yourself a headache if you would've just logged on here or eci.multi.org/uberdata/forum & asked jdavis, sohc_mshue, blunder or anyone else a few questions. I bet your car would have run much better in less time had you just asked someone well aquainted w/ the software. IMO Uberdata is the ish. I've been reading every topic that I can find pertaining to it for months. I am collecting all my gear so that I can jump into it as well. If UD is too much effort, buy a commercial EMS & move on, other wise be happy w/ what ya' got.

 

Im a first hand experienced turbo guy, did my own custom setup, and didnt knew a jack with TURBO/TUNING OVERALL.???

Been running Uberdata for 6+ nows.. I can leave few words..
