Default Frame Slider mod on a 2003-2004 r6?

I want to get frame sliders but i heard you would have to drill a hole through the fairings to have the slider bolted on. Is this true or can i there any other way the slider can go somewhere else without drilling a hole? Pictures would be nice too

there's a whole forum on diy's there too: http://r6messagenet.com/forums...?f=49

Just a heads up on "no cut" sliders... Not sure how they look on the 2003+ R6's, but I had them on my 2000. They usually work by being on a standoff that moves them over a bit to avoid cutting.

I went down on my left side, and not only did it bend the slider, it pulled a couple threads out of the motor (not cool) - I was able to clean up the the threads, but I instantly through those in the garbage and got the "cut" kind.

DO NOT buy no-cut sliders! You know this

Why would you want to buy no-cut sliders anyways, it's not too hard to cut?

no cut sliders are just trash. if you are afraid of drilling your fairings, buy a set that are already drilled or have a shop do it.

your fairings will look a hell of a lot worse rashed up vs a set of drilled sliders

WTF?! Spend money on some good sliders. Cheap ones break off! Couple of my buddies' bolts broke.
