Default Personal Turbo Header...

Ive been building my engine since january this year and am getting closer to having it done. Finially tonight i made the turbo header all at once from start to finish no breaks until it was done! It needs to be polished but looks very nice if you ask me how it is. Only thing i dislike about it, is that it looks to spaced out to me but im not sure how else do it yet and keep it equal length.

By the way, this is for a 4G63, not a honda, but i figured i would show it anyways. Also, the external wastegate flange isnt welded on yet.

What filler rod did you use on that?

The header itself is made of 304 stainless, i used 308 filler.

1g/2g?

Going to be close to the hood regardless, but I'm highly doubting it will fit a 2g.

Just FYI before you spend too much more time on it, better measure.

Wow that looks really nice. Have you built other manifolds before or was this your first?

welds look uber-hot, but assuming it fits, should make some decent power!

it's not equal length. the 1 and 4 primaries are longer than 2 and 3.

Yah, I'd definetely reccomend checking hood clearance. You are most likely going to need another turbo bubble on the front of the hood.

He just said it fits, and That bubble on the hood has nothing to do with the turbo

Father Corn (Ron) knows. I think he was just joking. He's built a fast DSM or two in his day and some pretty nice manifolds as well

Are you going to weld it again? I DON'T mean to sound dick-ish, but the welds look kind of nasty, why don't you put a nice cap on them ? Are they sch 10 or sch 40? Did the welds penetrate? and if so did you purge?

Thanks for pointing that one out to me genius.

This toobular thing I stuck together has maybe 3/4" of clearance on this 1g. Just trying to point out something that could possibly bite you in the boo boo later.

If the hood does close by some miracle the heat from the header will make the paint bubble and chip off the hood in no time!!
