Is there a stamp or some way to identify what year the block is?? I know on the GSR there is a stamp that tells you the year. I just did a JDM h22 swap and i have no idea what year it is. all i know is its OBDI.

 

right behind the header... in the middle of the block.

h22a is obd1 and i belive 92-96 yr models.

 

there's the vin number on the back of the block. run that and it'll tell your what year the car that block came out of is.

What does the "NO.1" mean? in the block? I have NO.3 92? its a jdm h22a

 

november? just guessing...

 

NO.3 likely means March. The dial on the head has 12 letters, A thru L, doubt its just coincidence.

 

so that means i have a early version of the h22 92 in march no wonder i have only 166 whp tuned! thanks guys

 

Yea i seemed to have the same problem when i did my swap into the teg I didnt know what year it was all i knew that it was a jdm odb1 92-96sh and the 96 accord shifter fit on my shift cables. And i really dont have the opportunity to check my year now but now i know where to look.
