88 CRX DX, CEL Throwing Code 1
Ok I just started a new job. Yesterday afternoon I went in for the interview and on the way in my CEL came on. The car seemed to loose power a bit. Maybe not loose power as much as rev higher before shifting. I drive an auto. Anyways I thought that it might just be because I have only driven it about 2 hours in the last week and it was being stupid. But then after the interview I had to head out and visit my mom and the CEL came on again on the way there, and then again on the way home.
On my way in for my first day of work today the CEL came on again. This time I was going slower becuase I thought that it had something to do with speed. Since it was coming on before at about 100kmph. But this morning on the way in it came on at about 70kmph so that theory was shot to ****.
I cant seem to find my guide on what the codes mean, and Im really busy to go and search around for what Code 1 means. Anyone have any idea of what the problem might be. That yellow light coming on again pretty much makes me flash to an image of an empty wallet on an engine that sucks ***** anyways.
I did the math at lunch today and in the last year if I would of just dealt with the problems instead of replaceing the parts for my engine I would of saved enough money to buy a full DOHC ZC swap with tranny, ECU and everything I needed.

**** are you serious? I just replaced my O2 Sensor like 3 months ago. Can you think of a reason why this might be happening? I cant think of anything.

Do you know how to test the sensor? I checked the wiring and cant seem to find anything wrong. Everything seems to be connected correctly, there is no grounding out going on. I have no idea what O2 sensor that I have.

Check your fuel pressure. Make sure the fpr is good.
Disconnect the wire harness from the o2 sensor. See if you have .6V during wide open acceleration and .4V during closed throttle deceleration from 5000 rpm. If no o2 sensor is bad.
If the you have the correct voltage do the above test again, check voltages at the ecu. c16 (+) and a18 (-). If you have 0V there's an open/short somewhere in the circuit. If you have the correct voltage get another ECU.
