guaging interest. b18c1, lsd b16 tranny, + extras.
well im seriously considering selling my complete drivetrain and going back toa sohc vtec for my hatch. its being trasformed to a strictly track car and i cant afford to run in H1. im going to set it up for scca ITA and HC-H4.
everything is currently in the car and im not sure when ill get around to removing it. i just want to gather intrest in it before hand.
i am willing to part things out. but not every little piece.
-1994 b18c1 longblock with about 100k on it. maybe slightly more but no more than 105k. completely stock internals. i recently replaced the head gasket and had the head sent out to be checked and resurfaced ( i thought the gasket was bad because it was buringing coolant, but turns out it was the IM gasket that was going bad and nothing was wrong with the head gasket). they said the pressure check was within spec and only slightly resurfaced the head by .004. new head oem headgasket was used and i replaced the IM gasket with a Hondata IM gasket.
now i guess the rings were starting to go and with the new headgasket it put more stress on them. the motor does consume oil. nothing a set of rings and a hone job would not solve.
the timing belt and water pump have about 20k on them at most and are both again oem honda parts.
bolt ons- the motor has a skunk2 IM, aem intake, dc 4-2-1 header, unorthodox racing cam gears and crank pulley, ACT prolite flywheel, ACT xt/ss clutch with about 25-30k on it. ( still grabs perfect.)
ecu- jhpusa.com ffs1 race program chipped p28. 5500 vtec 8800 rev limmit.
tranny- 99si s4c tranny with kaaz lsd. tranny was opened and checked by " the wizzard" at maroney's auto in greensburgh PA. this guy is top notch when it comes to tranny work. he installed the lsd, and replaced the bearings and checked the syncros. lsd was broken in properly and has only about 5k miles on it. dont believe the horry rumors people like to spread about clutch lsd's. they are not high maintaince and do not wear out quick. expect this lsd to last at least 70k. much longer if its just used for street driving. tranny does not grind any gear when revved to 8500. i never rev higher than that but im sure it wouldnt grind at all to 9k. the only problems with the tranny are 1. i dont have the kazz speed sensor, you can order one i think for about 25 bucks, but i didnt need it since its a track/autox car. and 2. where the half inch drive plug inserts to cover the C clip that holds the main shaft, cracked a bit and fell off. i sealed it with hondabond and screwed the plug back in. it works fine but id highly suggest either getting a spare outer case if you ever have to open it up or just eplacing it while its out. i may even be able to supply one for a slightly additional cost. or replace it before hand if the buyer wishes.
everything else on the motor is there, ie: starter, alternator, all sensors, axles, harness, ect.
this motor and tranny combo is a potent package in a light hatch. i only drag raced it once in 85 degree heat at about 1300 feet above sea level and ran a 14.0@ 97. on a cool day id imagine it to run in the 13.6 @ 98-99 range and at sea level take another .2-.4 off that.
like i said, the motor is still in the car and runs perfect. if it were not for the smoke when you lift and then get back on the throttle and the oil consumption, you would never know there was anything wrong. if someone was interested int he complete swap and wanted to test drive it id have no problem with that. im not setting an exact price for anything just yet. i have an idea in my head what the different parts are worth and im open to offers. id also be willing to do a partial trade on some stuff or the complete swap for a d16z6 motor and/or 92-95 si tranny in good condition. let me know. pick up would be much preffered so you can actually see the things before buying them but i will ship at buyers expense if need be.
pm me with any other questions or offers. thanks for looking.

im located in pittsburgh PA.
bseriescrx- how soon are you talking and would you be willing to come pick it up? like i said its in the car. i could have it out in about 2-3 hours but im pretty busy with school and personal stuff this week.
make me an offer if you want and ill see. i put 1k in to the tranny about 5000 miles ago and have about 1500 in bolt ons and clutch/fly being included with the COMPLETE swap. so take that into consideration.

i would much prefer selling the entire thing together. if i am parting it out im not going to be in the biggest of a hurry to take it out of the car.
if i part out the motor it will be like this.
complete shortblock with UR crank pulley. not seperating anything from it.
complete head including skunk mani, hodata gasket, UR cam gears, str cam seal, TB. all sensors, injectors, fuel rail.
kaaz b16 tranny.
act flywheel/act xtss clutch
then ill part all the little things like shift linkage, axles, dizzy, starter, alternator, mounts, ecu, harness, other bolt ons seprately or with the other engine parts.

i think ill be pulling the motor sometime next week. so by chance anyone wants to test drive it before buying something, let me know so we can arrange something.
forgot to mention, it doesnt burn much oil during regular street use. it only burns a lot during extended periods of high rpm use ( ie, track days). motor never complained, id just top it off after each session and it would run like a charm. and ive always been using 5w30 as honda recomends. it might burn less if a heavier grade oil were to be used.
how much for the tranny clutch and flywheel shipped?.....its gonna be comin to 28374....thats nc by the way...shouldn't be to much...prolly about 80-100 dollers....
dont PM....i have a gay pop up blocker and it wont let me recieve pm's...e-mail me at SiDriver148@Hotmail.com or just post it up

ok, the clutch and flywheel might actually be spoken for already. my friend asked if he could buy them and since i store my race car at his shop free of charge i kinda have to give him first dibs on that.
