Default Knock Sensor & timing retard

1. By how many degrees does the knock sensor pull back the ignition timing on an OBD0 b16a?

2. And once the knock sensor detects detonation and retards the timing, how long does it hold it back? As long as the throttle is depressed?

3. While launching in 1st, if there is slight detonation and the KS pulls back the timing, will it keep the timing retarded throughout the quarter mile pass?

Searched for the answers to these questions but could not come up with any.
TIA

PrettyLude,
Thanks for the replies. Just one more question, do i have to reset the ecu after adjusting the timing manually from the distributor?

From my understanding, this is my answers to your questions:

1. The computer will pull out 3 degrees of timing every time it detects 3 knocks in 2 seconds.

2. It will continue this until it doesn't detect those 3 knocks in 2 seconds. It will then try to advance the timing by 3 degrees, still following it's 3 in 2 rule.

3. It should have all the timing back in by the end of the quarter mile, unless you're getting a lot of detonation, or running 6's.

You don't have to reset the ecu after adjusting timing.

Actually you cannot adjust or monitor it with a VAFC.
