honda seatbelt replacement (free)
Honda has a life time seatbelt replacement, and they wont charge you to change/ or fix them. if this helped any of you hit this up with a post.
so how exactly does that work? do you just take it into the dealer and tell them you need new seatbelts? i could use some replacements, so any info is appreciated.
I went to the honda dealetrship yesterday. They had to order new seatbelts,so I have to wait for it all to come in,
but I am getting everything replaced for free!

ya it doesnt matter what year it is. they replaced mine in my 86 si. they'll replace them if you didnt tamper with them, or brake them to get new seat belts
yeah hond/Acura had a Recall on all 88-91 Cars with the seat belts, And one day i was going down the road and my seat belt came out so i was like ****, so i called Honda and they said there was a recal on all 88-91 seat belt buckels. so i took it to them a week later and they had it fixed in about 30 mins
If they dont roll back up smoothly, they're required to replace them. I had mine replaced last year. They replaced EVERYthing, the buckles, belts, latches, etc. The guy showed me the invoice and it was like $1000 worth of stuff
man, if this is true than thats good to know. none of my seatbelts retract smoothly, i have to feed them all back in. looks like i will be making a trek to honda pretty soon

Had this same issue w/the belts not properly winding up. Took apart the door panel to see if there was an obvious issue, but no dice. Had to be in the retractor mechanism thing.
So i take it to honda who says that because it's a safety issue, they will replace it gratis.
So they replace it & proceed to explain to me that, "See where it says 'Emergency belt release?' That's because you're just supposed to leave them buckled in and slide in & out with the seatbelt fastened. If you were taking it on & off all the time it prolly just wore out."
So i asked for a demonstration of this factory-approved 'technique'
and he in turn proceeded to wangle his way in & out of the car (with mild difficulty) w/the belt fully fastened.
Does ANYONE actually get in & out of their car this way? Just curious.
Oh, and BTW, my belt is still reluctant to roll up, even after the retractor mechanism was replaced, although it doesn't just get stuck full out anymore, it will roll up with a few tugs to put tension on it.
Oh, and BTW again my GF's '98 hatch does the exact same thing! It won't always retract fully when you take it off, just like mine you have to give it a tug or two. WTF!?

My driver side was bad. I had half-heartedly asked what it was to replace. Very expensive, maybe 500. So then I hear about the replacement for free and sure enough they did it. I went by. They looked at it and ordered the part. Called me a few days later. Took it in and they replaced it. Guy gave me the 'proper entry exit' technique. Some times I jump into the car with a laptop which I drop on the passenger's seat. No way that would work using trying to thread my way into driver's seat harness like some drunk spider on saturday night.

Lifetime warrenty on the belts. BUT what they WONT cover is damage to the interior if the belts dont retract. and they wont replace them if ur dog chewed on them. and there OVERNIGHTED from japan. There considered a safety issue, and they get top priority. I got it done on my 1987 accord LXI, and my CRX didnt need to be done. Every thing is tip top.
