Fuel Rail Connection ... Need Help.
I am using a AEM fuel filter on my R with 6-AN braided fuel line. I need to connect the fuel line to the stock fuel rail inlet. Does anyone know how I go about doing this? The fuel line has a 6-AN female straight/swivel earls fitting on it. The stock fuel rail has a male inlet ... I think it accepts a 4-AN fitting? Perhaps the thread is 12mmx1.5 or 1.25? Thanks
I have an AEM fuel rail already. HOWEVER, the AEM rail in Not allowed in the Honda-Challenge Race series, so I have to go back to stock.
Isnt the AEM fuel filter supposed to be bolt in?
It should have come with the hardware for the banjo fitting.
And no, the rail doesnt have a -4 end. its a banjo fitting.

Yes, the AEM fuel filter is a basic bolt-in unit. Yes, the stock fuel line w/banjo fittings will work. However, I want to use my S.S. braided line though.
Here's a pic of my current set-up.

I am in the same situation as you with a different sanctioning body, change the rail and be forced to change competition class.
Unscrew the male fitting from the rail, if you want a -6, 45-degree forged fitting order a part number 1267 from Goodridge. If you want a 90-degree order 1279 and if you want a straight T with a fuel pressure fitting order a 1291. The fuel rail thread is M12 X 1.25. These fitting were originally designed for Dellorto carburetors and are special order from Europe. I have tried all the fitting manufactures in North America and no one has the correct metric fitting except Goodridge. Talk to George Lugo at Goodridge, Ca. customer service supervisor 310 522-1924 and tell him we want these in North America. Your only other option is to re tap the rail to standard size and use the appropriate fitting.
