Default Omipower coilovers?????????

I am thinking of getting some for 92 civic Si but I dont know much about suspension stuff. Are these any good???

Omnipower coilovers are very good. I had a set on my 92 HB but had to sell due to financial reasons. I had the sport setup, 12k front, 10k rear. That was very stiff. I went from tons of body roll to absolutely no body roll after I put them on. I honestly did not need sway bars after that.

I would recommend getting the street setup, 10k front, 8k rear. They will still be very stiff but a more comfortable ride for a daily driver.

They were very easy to install, all you had to do was preload them by following the directions.

IMO they are a good choice and well worth the money.

I have the Omni Type-R Sport Version on my EG. They are the ****. I did a couple touge runs and Im happy I got them. No body roll no sloppyness. Plus theyre only $700. What good coilovers can u get for that price?

If you need to save money look in to these! There D2 Coilovers there 64 way adjustable and there bad ***. I thinking about puting them on my Civic.

yeah they give great prices and the D2 coilovers are soppose to be real good. Some friends of mine do alot of autocross and they love the D2 coilovers.

I've bought the Omnipower Full Coilovers (Street) in early summer and they were great while they lasted. They gave me a good 3,700 miles until they got canned. It was not even due to installation error.. I installed them correctly; preloaded the spring, torqued everything to spec, and had an alignment done afterwards. Then one day, I went driving through the desolate mountain roads along I-280 South to test out my suspension set-up and that's when it happened.

My setup consists of Omnipower Full Coilovers, Comptech Rear Sway/Tie Bar Combo, Bridestone S-03 tires in 195/50 on 15" Slipstreams, front and rear upper strut bars, an OEM 3rd gen. Integra front lower tie bar, and a stock front 21mm sway bar. The car was also lowered with a one finger gap all around.

When I started tackling the first few turns, the car felt superb. Body-roll was at a minimum and the grip from the S-03's were great. I was able to push the car quite hard through the corners. Next up came a right-hander hairpin with a suggested speed limit of 20mph... so you can imagine it was a pretty tight hairpin. Trying to make use of all the tarmac that was available on this 2-lane road, I shifted over to the abandoned left-hand lane made for oncoming traffic. With a little footwork and two quick blips of the throttle, I downshifted from 5th to 4th and from 4th to 3rd, reducing my speed from 80mph to 65mph. The entrance to the hairpin was approaching fast and with the determination of owning this hairpin at triple its speed limit, I gave my car a moderate jerk to the left to transfer to vehicle's weight onto the right. As soon as I feel the weight shift, I quickly bring the car in from the outside and keep a tight distance between me and the quardrail. I am probably about three inches from clipping the guardrail on the inside of the hairpin. Traveling at a blistering 65mph through this hairpin with absolutely no tire squeal coming from the S-03's, I am feeling pretty confident. I reach the apex about 1.5 seconds after entering the hairpin and immediately give it some gas, hitting full boost in an instant.. then BAM! The entire left side of my suspension completely gives out. Due to the violent jerk that was administered, I lost control my oversteering car and found myself headed straight for a guardrail. I slammed the brakes, but it was too late. The rear end had already met the quardrail at about 55mph. Shaken, but alive, I check myself for injuries.. finding none. I try to soak in what had just happened and remove myself from the vehicle. Come to find out, there is some sort of grease heavily spread on the path behind my car. I check my car and discover that the driver-side Omnipowers had completely exploded in an outward motion through the bottom of the shock.

Although the Omnipowers gave me a great deal of confidence in tackling mountain passes, they did not last me very long.

I've been riding on the Omnipowers since late spring/early summer; before they came with installation instructions (that's why I have the old STREET version with 10k/6k) and they are still holding up great!!

Yeah, I know.. I have a lot of time on my hands. I was bored, alright.

I got the full coilovers with the 10k/12k rates and they feel awsome, install was easy (best part is you don't need a spring compressor) pull the old assembly pop in the new ones easy peasy. I also have srr rear LCAs because when installing the rear i broke that damned LCA bolt. I have cusco front and rear upper strut bars also. You lose body roll and they are just a great product especially for the money. The non-adjustable dampening is bad for some but once you try these out you see these are unbelievable.

errrr 64 way adjustable???? i bet there is hardly ANY dfference bettween the first click and the 40th click.

'clicks' are a marketing gimick. You can throw a HUGE number of 'clicks' into a damper, and it doesn't mean that actually anything is being changed. for some reason, people think "ooo **** 64 way adjustable, that means that every click makes a difference" then they go off and purchase the things, when in acutallity they differnce could have been done with only 4- 6 'click'.

These have been mentioned in the RR-autoX forum, and i think some one from the Nissain feild were alot of people use them said people don't like them. Im not 100% sure about this though

biggest down fall to omni's is non-adjustable and off the wall springs.

personal a non-adjustable damper is on the same level as stock dampers. Adjusting the dampers is were YOU CAN dial in your suspension.

if you just drive on the street and blvd pimpn then these are BLInG tasktekt.

You know, I road race my EH3 on Tein S-Tech springs and KYB AGX shocks and they do just freaking wonderfully. You don't need a lot of suspension for the street, nor do you really need top of the line **** to be a successful weekend racer. Omnipowers aren't adjustable and that's all I need to hear to stay away, but if you like feeling like you're driving a SPEC Miata to the grocery store and back, I'm sure these icy hot bad boys are for you.

would you pay 700 dollars for coilover sleeves? its a full threaded body strut/coilover but they arent dampening adjustable
