It is in the drivers foot well kind of next to the pgmfi main relay. I can't seem to find it in the manual.

Its markings are:
Denso
056700-8570
12v
Made In Japan

Could it be causing all or some of my problems?

I doubt it has anything to do with your problems.


That's the starter relay.

If your car cranks, it's fine.

 

yeah i have a replacement if you need one. I thought mine was blown a while back so i got one from the junkyard.... then i tested the battery... and it was the battery =P

 

I have the starter hooked up to a momentary switch because it won't crank from the ignition switch - maybe this relay is the cause.

Damn it - I was hoping it was the cause of the other issues too. oh well back to testing....

 

Maybe that could be the cause of my starter problems. Ive replaced all the grounds and hot wires from the battery and it starts sometimes...but then other times it wont. Maybe the relay is sticking or something?

thanks, I need to find time to test the icu and main relay. If it isn't that or the ignition switch then I am completely stumped.

I guess I will have to do what I swore I would never do again - take it to a shop.
