Redline Track Events EP3 Challenge, November 19th 2004 Streets of Willow
Hello Everyone!
We will soon be opening registration for the November 19th EP3 Challenge event on our website http://www.RedlineTrackEvents.com
Registration for the event will be $120 for the day and that includes the use of an AMB Timing Transponder (for accurate timing). We are working on the handicapping system right now, and we will post information on the system when we are finished with it.
I will be posting updates on the series at this thread:
http://www.ephatch.com/forum/s...50756
If you have any questions for us, please post them here or email us directly:

There is a strong possibility the RSX-S will be invited to run in this innaugural EP3 Challenge. We see no reason to NOT include the Type S as it runs on the same platform as the Civic (not to mention the base RSX has been invited). So if you know anyone with an RSX-S who might want to participate in a dedicated challenge series, let them know!
Happy Motoring!

im still undecided if i should really attend this event. coz (1) my brake pads are almost out. (2) i need helmet. (3) tires are not in its best shape. =p
I will be there. Do I just go ahead and pay $120 @ Redline website? Hopefully, you guy can get a handicap system down because the car that I will be driving, '04 RSX-S with 2000 miles, will be bone stock. Looking forward to see you guy there.

We are hashing out the handicap system. Granted, the first time around, there will more than likely be some minor tweaks we see that will need to be made for the 2nd running of the EP3/DC5 Challenge. This is to be expected though.

redline events are mainly bang for the buck events. it is basically a DE, but the emphasis isn't really on education as there isn't enough staff to really handle it. it's more just a kick back and have fun at the track type of deal. i used to help with instruction before and jeremy (prkiller) still does.
the challenge series is something new, it is a time trial run group. it's not racing. so no need for license.

We have the preliminary handicap system hashed out. This event will be used to validate the handicap system. Any changes that need to be made to slighly adjust how we weight certain mods, will be done before the next EP3/DC5 Challenge.

I was referring to event liability insurance, which goes way up for timed events.
NASA Virginia will go so far as to remove a stopwatch from someone's hands if he's seen timing someone in Group 3 or Group 4, and expulsion from an event is a possibility.
If they didn't promise strict enforcement and a trackable chain of evidence as to how someone could end up in Group 3/4 to begin with, the insurance would be much higher and the events would cost a lot more than they do.
In Virginia, Group 3/4 passes anywhere on the track so, as you can imagine, an uninformed insurance company would have quite a few questions about this.
I think people are very lucky that Redline is taking this on in such a freethinking way, giving people a good taste of life on the track, and I only wished it were possible to attend personally.
