91 EX Coupe will not start after sitting all day.
I get up at 6am leave at 7am, and the car starts right up. I work until 3:30pm, sometimes 4 or 5pm, and when I go to leave, sometimes every day, the car won't start for anywhere between 3 - 10 minutes. I crank it a few times, and it always cranks, let it sit for a minute, and try a few more times, and eventually it starts.
What could be wrong, do you suppose?

try lightly kicking where the fuse box is under the dash while trying to start and see if it helps in starting..

It seems resounding, I saw it in another thread after doing some reading, I'm going to check that out if it stalls today, I'm going to running the air first, if you don't mind, I'll hold off on kicking it
Thanks a lot guys, watch for good news.
By the way, how much does one of those cost if I replace it?

A main fuel relay can be highly intermittent, sometimes going weeks or months between failures to start.
You can pull the relay and resolder the joints to fix. Broken solder jts due to thermal cycling are the problem.
I grew up in Tifton, Ga a few miles from you many years ago, but don't get back there much anymore. Albany's a nice town.

The car wouldn't start at all today. I tried running the heater a bit to see if it would help, because it helped somebody else. It would not start, though. My battery is almost dead, now, too. My fuses are under the hood, just in front of the passenger side, but I don't know where the main relay is. I'm going to check my Haynes manual, but if anybody knows, let me know.
It started right up when I went back at about 9:30pm, like I was just starting it up to take it off the car lot.
I've gotten a new solder gun and I'm going to tackle the relay Saturday.
If I have another problem with it, I know where it is now, I can probably just flick it.

Main relay is nearly impossible to see from directly beneath the dash. I've found that removing the cruise control module ( 3 bolts?) near the steering column allows it to be seen and removed w/ relative ease. As someone said, remove the 10mm socket size, bolts holding the MFR bracket to the body rather than trying to separate the relay from the bracket. It's a gray relay, ~ 2x2x2 w/ 7 wires leading to the relay and an 8-pin connector to the relay.
good luck
