How to make Hyper Blinkers, DIY Inside for the EG!
Ok now let me start off with this, if you think that fast blinkers are ricey, it is your preferance, i made this post for the people who actually were interested in them in the past, and the ones interested now.
Personally i know they are NOT JDM, whatever, who cares, its just a simple touch. I have also found they work great while changing lanes, people think its an emergency light of some sort and tend to let you in more often, i swear to god. They may be annoying or what not but i made this post for the ones who wanted it.
I did them on my 94' Civic Coupe.
First unscrew your turn signal lense. Take out your bulb socket.
Take the bulb out of the socket, if you look inside there is a little tab on the side or the wall of the socket, a little metal piece sticking out that touches the bulb when you place it in the socket.
That is the sensor that tells the computer the bulb is "out" or needs to be replaced. By blocking that from touching the bulb you have fast blinkers. Now the positive/negative is still in contact fromt eh bulb base (the 2 small bumps on the bottom of the bulb) So dont mess with those.
I taped off the metal sensor and put the bulb back in and it blinked faster than stock. I like them, they look kinda good TO ME! MY OPINION!.
Now my car isnt fast, so i made it seem fast i guess....well whatever, i like it and many others do too.
This is a tech forum i realize it. I also realize it is full of opinionist's more that tech helpers. So here is my little DIY.
I hope you find it useful, it is very easy to do, nothing is permanent, its a piece of tape for god sakes anyways.
If you need any more info PM me.
I am not sure about other models of Hondas and cars but i am positive they have a sensor on them all, so you just need to experiment.
Later all.
P.s. I dont want to hear any hate comments, this is just a simple DIY i thought some of you would like. So enjoy it, and your all entitled to your own opinions, but come on, are your really going to be mean about it? Give me a break, grow up, and enjoy your car!

i bought these led blinkers from pepboys that did the same thing. they are a bit more expensive than a piece of tape but brighter than the stock blinkers. oh, and yea, **** jdm. i got a body kit and alteza's and a b16 (jdm of course cause its faster than the usdmf) and i like them. if you have a problem with that eat me.
Whatever floats your boat. If you like it, that's all that matters.
But everytime I see blinkers flashing faster than strobe lights, I literally want to smash their lights in.

Peace man.
Anyone else?

All you have to do is put a smaller watt bulb. The blinkers work off an electronic flashing relay. The way that relay is designed, if a bulb pops or if more current (or less resistance) is flowing through that relay, it blinks at a faster rate. It acts as a courtesy notice for the driver.

Or that^ But i didnt have time/money to buy smaller bulbs or think of that. why do all that when you can just use electrical tape?
But yeah i know what you mean

pfft. Like i said......H_T people are sad.....Go back to where you left too then...damn nobody cares about what you think anyways...
Oh well anyone else?

umm.... there is no "sensor" that tells the blinker relay if the bulb is burned out. you just removed the ground from the light bulb. cutting the black wire from the harness will acheive the same effect. you'll also notice that your front turnsignal is only 5 watts now, pretty much invisble during the daytime. your parking light still works b/c the blinker contact shows (-) when off, and (+) when blinking

you can change the resistor in the blinker unit, should be a littler black box by the fuse box.
oh and faster blinkers are gay. yes, they do make you turn faster.

I remember I was trying to make my sides stay off when I turn on my headlights. Snipped one wire and it made it hyperblink instead. Looked okay and was free at least lol.
