Default can i polish my rims?

i want to polish the lip and paint the rim black and was wondering who has used aircraft stripper to polish it? post pics if u can

you can use that .... but make sure you get the tire dismounted or mask it off very well...

ive used it on my 96 GSR rims because they had alot of paint on them and then i painted them white
and HX rims
and 94 GSR rims

. ive never done it with the tire on but goodluck if your gonna try that

i know hit harms plastic cuase ive done that on it myself....
it depends on which kind you get...

there is wood safe and plastic safe ones and then there is all out melt down ones

thanks, i actually read that a couple days ago, but would be the best grit sand paper to use. and should i wet sand it?

you would wanna use a really high grit sandpaper....like 1000. i duno about wet sanding.

paint wont stick to well on 1000 grit... read the can it tells you what to use


my polishing attempt... 500... 1000... 1500... 2000... then mothers metal polish...

Besides, if you look at the sentence structure you'd have to be a real dumbass not to know what he's talking about. I trust this was not the situation in your case?

You see 'to polish' is a verb, whereas Polish is an adjective. Next time you won't get confused as easily
