Default OT/FYI: That "low-carb diet" is some good chit!

Just wanted to let you boys know...

9 lbs in one week! It's tough, but no bread or pasta and the weight just comes off...

Jason- who is trying to fit into his damn Vision seats, and says F Tammy for being able to eat everything and not gain weight

Damn guys, you are brutal...

Nah, I figure another 15-20 and I'll be good to go. Last physical, doc said I should be 200-205 due to bone/muscle structure

It figures, the JDM asses are the ones posting

Have you also started drinking only water?

Usually you will lose the most in the first week then it slows down, especially if you start drinking lots of water.
The Slim-Fast/Subway diet worked for me...lost 55 LBS.

Congrats man.

I have a JDM waste, with a cornbread, and potato wedge eating ****. I am assuming the seats won’t agree with me either.

Bryan-

I thought you were going to check 'em out at VIR?

Yoshi-

Yep, decided to keep them. I figured that if they could make a seat that light (9.5 lbs), I should try to make it work

J - why don't you step it up a bit and supplement it with Zenadrine... unless you're gonna do it the natural way in which case you better start doing cardio and run 3+ miles everyday.

Drinks lots of water and try to eat 5 smaller meals during the day instead of 3 larger portions. This will speed up your motabalism and after about 4 weeks of 5-meals per day your metabalism will be so fast that you'll burn things up quickly.

Actually its not that hard to keep the weight off once you get off the diet.
Just watch what you eat basically, be conceious(sp?).

Liek now I eat normal..just dont over indulge. Like if I have pizza for lunch..then for dinner I know I have to eat lighter..not pizza for lunch and McDonalds for dinner...know what I mean?

Glad your making the effort, but to lose 9 lbs in one week you truly only lost a lot of water weight. The carbohydrate at the molecular level has 4 water molecules attached to it. When you cut carbs...you cut water! Hence...BIG lose in a short period of time. In addition, you will become lethargic over time and your blood develops a high level of ketones. Ketones cause your blood to become acidic in nature. Essentially you start to eat your body from the inside out! Not a good thing to have happen! Just do it the right way the first time! Take the time to develop a program that addresses a "life-style" change. This means incorporating a balanced diet, a multi-vitamin, and consistent exercise. With this plan, you'll lose fat and not weight. Remember, it is about body fat % not weight loss.

Well, this doesn't work for everyone.

Bottom line: the absolute best way is to find a nutritionist and setup a well-planned out eating plan. It shouldn't cost more than $200 for the consultation... beside, 20lbs off the car will give you 1 sec off your lap time.

I run 2 miles every morning, so that's my consistent exercise. I have not cut out ALL carbs, just bread and pasta...

Chit, I'm in NC. Everyone on the board should know what that means

Beer anyone???

Seriously, I still have my daily glass of oj/grapefruit juice, but have just cut out ALL bread and pasta...

No Vision bracket for Pat

Good to hear about the weight loss though I couldn't do a no-carb diet. That would mean no beers...

I did do a no-fat diet once. Lost 15 lbs!

so you still have RICE

yoshi - who eats can't go w/o rice for more than two days

Good advice Chuckles.

I know of couple people who tried this form of diet.
It seems to work well for the first couple weeks and then you get tired of eating all that flesh and grease.
And once the carbo's get back into the diet, the weight comes back with interest.
