Default Oil cooler fitting size

For those of you that have or are considering an oil cooler, what fitting size is recommended? AN-8, 10, or 12 (1/2", 5/8", or 3/4")?
Thanks.

The bigger the better.....you can't go wrong with a large size on the oil cooler.

12 is plenty, but 10 will work just as good.

I run -10 fittings throughout my oil cooler setup.

-10 AN. Get too much bigger and you'll looose pressure with the lost velocity . . .

Thanks, all. AN-10 it is.
One more question if I may, what exactly does an oil catch can do?

Pressure is inversely related to velocity. As velocity goes down, pressure goes up, and vice versa. The bigger issue is making sure you don't add any restrictions to flow between the pump and bearings that would artificially reduce pressure.

I used -10 for my Talon.
