I got a 95 gsr tranny usdm and I want to put an lsd in it. I got a good deal on an ITR usdm lsd. Will this lsd fit/work in my 95 gsr tranny?
THanks!

Yes it will.
USDM ITR has a 4.400 final drive/countershaft. So does your GSR tranny.
Won't directly fit in if it's an LS tranny.

yes, it will. i have a 2000 gsr tranny and a 2001 itr lsd.
if you have tapered roller bearings on your current differential, you might want to consider going to sealed bearings on the lsd. on that note, everyone i talked to when i was prepping to do the operation on my tranny said not to reuse the bearings on the stock differential, due to damage that commonly occurs when pulling the bearings off the differential.
if you don't have a helms manual, do yourself a favor and buy one before you begin the work.

Inside the transmission. Replaces the stock differential with a limited slip differential.

the lsd works great, no noise, no problems. the bearings are around $30 a piece.
edit: depending on how much whp you're going to be putting down, the itr unit might not be ideal for your application... from what i've read its good until about 250 whp; at that point you're going to want to consider something more aggressive, like the quaife unit. along the same lines is the obx lsd, which goes for around $350, and is apparently a rebadged quaife differential... do a search for obx lsd, there's someone on this board putting down 600 whp with one of these units, and no problems so far.
check it out.
