Default B18b-B16a LS/VTEC Hybrid

I am looking to create a natrually aspirated LS/VTEC hybrid engine for my 2000 integra SE (has the B18b engine). Does anyone know a good instructional site or can anyone give me a parts listing for the additional components I will need to add to the B18b engine. Any added thoughts about proper additions for maintenance purposes would also be appreciated.

Why would you go with a b16a head instead of a GSR head? I'm wondering if that would even bolt up.

^^ I heard from a honda mechanic that the gsr head flows better and has a bit higher compression than the B16 also...

of course the b16 head bolts up.. but its still a b series itll work- i think the dowel pins may be different but thats about all.. oh and the oil lines. but go with a b16 head- they are all over the place

oh and i dont suggest you doing this yourself unless you have a lot of experience.... take it to a shop thats performed an ls vtec conversion... if dont right itll last and youll love it if done wrong your gonna **** some **** up to put it bluntly...

use the search option

the b16 head is like the ITR head without the porting. The cams are much less aggressive however. The GSr or b18c head has a lower comp and flows ok. Either are popular choices because without porting and a good valve train, mostly same results happen.

well you need lots of things but like the other guy said get it done buy a shop that has done lots of ls/vtec.

you will need you block and head taped and drilled , new b18b head gasket and cut for new dowel pins. the head will need to be shaved to fit new dowel pins , oil line ( also lots of other stuff but to Lassie to write so all post late)
