Default put the prospeed header on

well i put the header on!

i was disgruntled because i lost my job, and cant afford the coating/dyno time any time soon, so i just "threw" the header on today.

Fitment was decent, i just loosened the front mount/bracket and the front cross member and there was pleanty of clearance to get the elbow through the space.

overall the butt dyno gives two thumbs up. it really smoothened the powerband out, and even quited the exhaust note. Lost some low-range probably, mid-high range seems strong...

sorry i cant offer any dyno's yet, hopefully im not jobless too much longer
heres pics

You are going to be running lean, i would say that wasn't a very wise decision to throw on the header with no tuning. There are also other topics out there that have already discussed the gains they achieved with this header. Your a day late and buck short my friend. Get that beast tuned or you could quite possibly cause some engine damage.

Did it come with the flange welded on to mate the collector to the testpipe/cat?

Sorry about the job man, wish you best of luck getting ahold of another quick.

Can't see the pics, but cant wait to see the dyno sheet. More dyno results dont hurt, every set-up isnt the same.

vnt </TD></TR></TABLE>no, i had my boys at http://www.superiorracing.com weld one on for me.

and its not a test pipe. im not running a cat, the jdm header was just bolted to my 2.5" piping. well the slip fit b pipe of the prospeed header is about an inch too short for my application (friend with prelude, ALTERED4, his b pipe was longer, ?).
so i went to autozone, and made my self an inch wide spacer to put between the exhaust piping and the b pipe. i have long bolts clamping it down in place... not the best, but ill get it fixed up better soon.

How are you diggin the mild steel ??

Yea, the hoses kind of touched on mine as well, but i just bent them a tiny tiny bit so they werent resting on the thing. But overall its a beautiful piece. Get that beast tuned!

Do you have any pixs that you can show the portion after the flange, just curious.... I just ordered the same header for my 4g VTEC Lude.

Is there a big difference in price between the mild steel and stainless steel versions? I was thinking it might be cheaper to get the mild steel version and have jet hot coat it

no the header doesnt touch the altenator. its in a 96 accord coupe w/ AC, no PS.

it looks all messed up cus its mild steel, and i got greasy prints on it, and probably dripped sweat on it when i was installing it, i didnt wipe it off or anything before running. i dont really care though because i will be taking it off soon to get coated.

It was one of those 3 AM things. Sorry. I meant to say that your motor could use some scrubbin. Adds 5whp.
