Analog to digital cluster conversion in 93 prelude
I have the wiring diagrams for both a 93 prelude and a 96 prelude and I have the new dash. I am just too lazy to waste my time figuring out which wires to connect. Does anyone know of a kit that plugs directly into stock harness and new cluster? Thanks

i was wondering if you would be able to send me these diagrams because i need them so that i would be able to do the conversion. please let me know thanks

i recently did the conversion without the harness or anything like that i can write the diagram up later when i take it out again. the only thing is that it will not dim because the dimming system is completely different but if that doesnt bother you then it is a lot cheaper, i am a picky bastard so i am going to do the full conversion with the harness, dimmer switch, and dimmer box. so when i pull it out again to do the conversion again i will write down the wire scheme
Yes, there are.... Some came out with just the warning light/fuel guage part of the dash smoked so you cant see them until they light up, like a lexus or windom dash. Then some came with also the speedo/rpm part of the guage smoked out, so the whole dash was black the ignition isnt turned on...
Hay pdu-Nz you come from NZ too, wow i thought i was the only one
.
Any ways did we get both types here, because iv'e never seen the second type (the one with the entierly smoked out dash) i'd be interested in seeing one, do you Know where i could see some pics.

does anyone have pictures of this. i own a 93 and i have seen the JDM digital climate control but i have a feeling you guys are discussing a totally different thing. i did a search but no luck. thanks

go here https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1121946 there are acouple pictures of it. it is electro luminescent and it only came on the US 94-96 preludes. is also has a smoked glass so when the car is off the dash looks all black/smoked when u turn the car on the gauges light up just like the electronic gas/temp gauge.
Thanks JDMhore thats pretty cool if you ask me although from what i've heard if you have a 92 or 93 prelude (like me) it probably isnt worth the time and effort unless it is in good condition and your sure you can keep it and keep it running for a few more years!
OK HERE WE GO FIRST OF ALL MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE SILVER INVERTER BOX AND THE 4 CONNECTORS ON UR NEW GAUGES!

PLEASE DO NOT HOLD ME RELIABLE FOR ANYTHING THAT GOES WRONG ONCE AGAIN DOING IT THIS WAY WILL NOT LET YOU DIM IT EITHER YOU HAVE TO GET THE WHOLE DASH HARNESS FOR THAT, OTHER THAN THAT HERE YOU GO!

i got confuse with all your colors .... i do better looking at a wiring diagram, but any ways i found this on another prelude forum.
Holding the gauges so that you're looking at the back/top of them, there are 5 pin sets, they are labeled (from left to right) as "H", "J", "K", "L", and "M". The pin sets "K", and "L" are used for the inverter, so the sets we will be dealing with are "H", "J", and "M".
Pin set "H" has 10 pins, "J" has 5, and "M" also has 5. The pins are also read from left to right. The following labels each pin, to the wire you have to hook it up to
"H"
Pin#) Wire color- Wire purpose
1) Yellow- Power
2) Pink- Speedo
3) Yellow- Power
4) Red w/ Black stripe- Dimmer switch
5) Black- Ground
6) Orange
7) No Wire
8) Light Green (must tap into the wire harness for the dash clock, and run a tap from the light green wire, to the cluster)- Mileage Memory
9) Red w/ Yellow Stripe- Bilnkers
10) No Wire
"J"
1) No Wire
2) No Wire
3) No Wire
4) Green w/ Yellow Stripe- Right Blinker
5) Red w/ Blue Stripe- High Beam
"M"
1) Blue w/ Silver dots- Tach
2) Black- Ground
3) Red w/ Yellow Stripe- High Beam
4) Green- Left Blinker
5) Blue - SRS

like jdmhore said "PLEASE DO NOT HOLD ME RELIABLE FOR ANYTHING THAT GOES WRONG"
Let`s dust this topic off! I`m also getting a JDM digital gauge cluster, and I need the wiring diagrams. My car is Prelude 93 V-TEC 4WS.
Thanks!
Thanks!
is ur car a usdm car? if so the jdm cluster housing is different. it has a difference curve to it because it was for the right side of the car.
It is a European model LHD, just like the USDM. So according to you, I`m doomed with the JDM cluster? I see sometimes USDM digital clusters, but they are in miles, not kilometers. In Europe the second hand car parts market isn`t developped like in the USA and it`s hard to find anything.
Hello
I understand this post was posted sometime ago about this but need as much help as possible.
so could anyone help me with wiring in a JDM dash cluster into my 96 BA8 Prelude (Jap import)
Just need to know which wirer goes where as the BA8 cluster only has 2 plugs one at the bottom of each end 1 X 16 pin & 1 X 10 pin and as you may know the JDM cluster has one 16 pin on the side and a green plug 10 pin + a blue plug 6pin at the top.
I've got all the part for both plus extra wirer just need to know which ones to get it to work.
The JDM dash cluster is out of a 94 prelude sir...
I'm live in New Zealand and info on this type of thing is slim at best...
Can you help
