i dont think there is a kit for it. maybe... but not needed. You just run a new pipe depending where you put your new gas door location. I have ran it to the back behind the middle tailight b4. And am in the middle of making it fit the new hole inside the driver door. goodluck

I'm not aware of any kits out there either. I researched this for a while before deciding where and how I was going to do this. I had thought about putting it in the rear 1/4 of the tail light section but I had never seen anyone fab up a good enough hinge to use. Most of the ones I'd seen like that you just popped out the panel. So I decided to go for inside the door jam.

To shave it, you already have the gas lid which is contoured to the body nicely to weld up. To put it in the door jam, you have to fabricate you exsisting fill tube, and I picked up an extra rubber connecting hose from the junkyard. If you run it some where else, do not use radiator hose or hosing that is not fuel rated. One source I found for that was marine supply places.

Just curious, but why would you want to do this?

i would do this because it cleans the cars lines up.... no square on the panel...looks nice and im sure it will help at shows and what not.

also people can't steal your gas or blow you car up with a rag...

Can you put up some finished pictures when you done....

Wow, that's pretty neat actually.

You guys that have done this:

What's it like actually filling up your car so close to your interior?

I know some of the valves here are lame and they'll spill and give you some drip off even after it's been closed for a while. It would suck if some got in your interior.

Had any trouble with that?

dangit, forgot to get the pic. I actually have to pull out my rear interior peice to expose my fill up tube since the door jam hole is not finished yet. Its a pain , but not too bad. As for the spilling, Just be extra carefull. Wait a few seconds after the pump stops, and I give it a couple jerks, and yank it out quick. Just like after you pee ...lol

Guys, it's neon. Neon is the plural form of neon.

Just like window tint. It's tint. not tints.

And rpm. never rpms.

</TD></TR></TABLE> I'll agree with tints and rpms, but i think neons is just short for neon lights. JGYS (&lt;my coined acronym Just Giving You ****)

d000000000000000000d...you took them off when the ticket was only 10 each? That is worth the cost to pimp that hard y0

I think Trial User said that as sarcastically as my post.

How much does it cost to relocate the gas filler and how many tank refills can you buy with that money. Not to say this mod is bad, I kinda like it, although I wouldn't ever go through the trouble myself. What I mean is by saying you want to reweld the quarters, shave the old filler, and install a new filler elsewhere just because people steal gas enough in your area to make it worth all the work... its time to move.

Didn't mean to rial up the haters with my previous misunderstood humor about it being mine. But let's see...maybe I'll stop by Home Depot's garden center after work today and pick up some gardening trim, some drywall screws and see what ghetto **** I can rig up with that...I'm sure that would be more acceptable on here.

LOL mannyman...that's right, just like when you pee, but I guess some of them probably can't do that right either and get it all over theirselves when they pee too. For those of you who have trouble spilling gas when refueling...to bad you can't find a full service station to do it for you any more.

I'm not sure what the mod would cost to have someone else do it Saturn. I've pretty much done the entire car myself. But I have to agree, if someone's neighborhood is that bad that they do this mod...its time to move! LMAO!
