Default alright guys heres a taste of my new project 4dr civic turbo for under 3 grand

alright guys i started this new project on building a 4dr civic for daily driving and my budget set by myself was to not spend more than 3 grand on the total project and thats including the car. so heres a little break down of the project and cost of parts so far. my plan was to have a reliable and smoig friendly car that i could drive back and forth to work and still look good and not be a bucket and have a little juice. so heres a taste of whats to come
car 93 4dr civic dx 1000( it smoked like a ***** blown rings)
used drop springs 20
d15b vtec motor 350
hx wheels w/ new tires 200( chick from my job)
jdm ferio wing 100 (ebay)
00 si lip 80 ( hopeful if deal goes thru)
r1 muffler brand new 70
turbo manny 175shipped (ebay)
intercooler piping and bends some polished 80
downpipe 50
used stage 1 racing clutch 100
turbo t25 dsm 100 shipped
greddy turbo timer 50 shipped (ebay)
turbo oil lines 80 shipped (cheapturbosonline.com)
ebay short shifter for the hell of it 20 shipped
ebay blow of valve 50 shipped

so little stuff i already had for the car like like a chipped p28 that i am runnung uberdata on and some other miscellaneous stuff lying around
but so far my total is 2500 give or take a few bucks and throw in a cheap earl scheib paint job for 300-400 bucks and i am good to go. but here are some pics i will be updating this post on a daily basics w/ how to's on every thing i'm doing just to bad i didn't think about doing this before i did the motor change over

oh and i forgot the intercooler thats another 150 (ebay johnny turbo)

and cam gear for the hell of it 50 shipped

and i'm doing all this so i can stop driving my baby who loves to drink vp racing fuel

It's a cool idea, but I think you should raise the budget a little and get some quality parts. You'll be replacing the cheap parts or suffering the consequences of low quality down the road anyway. So in a sense, you should make the investment now and save money in the future.

ferio wing, 00 si lip what's that about? Just keep it sleeper using the money for something more important and remember, nothing looks better than hauling ***.

i'm hoping to get atleast 170 to the wheels and if i do i look at it being cheaper than a 2500-3000 gsr swap and still smog friendly

see i thought about that but my girl thinks i waste to much money into the cars we have so i told her i was only going to spend 3 grand but as far as the si lip and the jdm eg9 ferio wing goes i got to have some style. but as far as the ebay products like the intercooler. he just recently started selling them on ebay and is highly recomended on homemadeturbo. i think the only product i might have to worry about is the bov but i will replace that as soon as i find a good price on a greddy bov

and just out of curiosity why should this be posted in the appearance forum. i'm going to show this whole transformation step by step w/ write ups. this could be a good information guide for people who want to build there stock single cams
