Default Buying an S2000

I just test drove an 2001 S2000 with 30 miles. It is pearl yellow and comes with lip, spoiler, side flares, new tires, stereo and some other goodies.

I got him down to 24,500 Cdn so about 18,800 USD.

What do yall think about that price?

My bad, 50K Kms so about 30K miles.

He said that car was in a minor accident but the title is clean.

Makes me feel a little worried that i will be the fourth owner though

how many miles ? 30.......

has it ever been involved in an accident?

i thought that my car had low miles on it when i bought it..

2000 w/ less than 5000 miles on it, bought 6 months ago...

if that is the true mileage and has never been wrecked then go for it...

sounds like a great deal

accident and you would be the 4th owner? its pretty cheap so personally i wouldn't trust it. i am very weary of cars that have been in an accident.

Have it checked with a mechanic, then decide. See if it has any accidents or changed parts, or non-working parts, see if the chasis was changed or fixed. Then take the VIN and check it form the web.

I tried to buy one wholeasale at an auction last week through my dealer friend. It was an 01 with 36KM on ot, so about 23k miles. Black book is 23 700 CDN and it went for 29 500. I wouldn't have it at that price.

I have seen salvage S2k's for way less. Be wary.

I made this post over at s2ki.com in the toronto section and one of guys happened to know the seller.

He said the guy has 3 s2ks for sale and then have all been wrecked bad. The cars are fixed up and revined and sold with a clean title ...

If it wasnt for them, I might have bought the car

I guess that old saying is true... if its too good to be true, it probably is

**** Scammers.
