Default Install: C-Pillar Bar on 90-91 CRX

I should have taken pic's of the process, but I was doubtful the damn thing would even go on. As some of you may know, C-pillar bars on 88-89's bolts right to the seat belt bolt on the "b-pillar". In 90-91 rex's the seat belts are on the doors. Sure you could bolt it to this if your either 3ft tall, or dont mind a bar on or next to your head.

What I did might not be functional, but damnit I paid $46 for it and it was going in the car. I was looking around for places that it might fit to, the shock towers on the hatch, nope neither of them. A custom place? Not really. Then I found the hanger hook, looked over the other side and what do ya know, another cap. So I pulled the caps off and revealed 2 screws. I pulled those out and looked at the holes, hmm to small. So I pulled the plastic pieces out of the hole and tapped the hole for the size bolts I found in the garage. I adjusted the bar, bolted it in place and tightened it all down. Now I have a unfunctional $46 bar on my "c-pillar".

Man I got that EXACT same bar from ebay through Auto2n1 or something like that I waited 2 months on it and it finally came It does not connect the 2 seatbelt points on my 88 because its to short (even fully adjusted out) and its way to long to fit the hatch points. Now the ****** wont respond to my emails. I dont think i wanna try connecting it to the hangers like you did because that seems even more pointless than a hatch bar but props for figuring this pos good for nothing bar out. Gummetal finish my ***!!

Just FYI, the only 89 crx with pillar mounted seatbelts I believe was the HF. The rest had door mounted like 90-91.

Hang some curtains there and put some soft music on and some candals and make it your 'love shack' bwahhah. - Darrell

Is it me or are alot of CRX owners being owned this month by Ebay?

Its perfect for hanging clothes thou.......

I don't remember any mounting points at that location on my CRX.

Wait, those mounting points used to have a hook for stuff but that was just a screw not a bolt?? How secure is that??

I think it makes a mAd tiTe jDM clothes hanger. Like I said it is not functional, nor do I think it is. But $46 didnt go to waste.

From an engineering point of view,
that bar does absolutely nothing...

from me for finding a way not to waste $46. I'd like to see some of the people's cars making the "nice coat hanger, no function" comments. At the very least, it looks cool
