Default Project Turbo GS-R!! ** (56k Warning) **

Ok, so I was a hardcore All-Motor guy a couple months ago. I got to drive a Turbo Integra during that time, and it really blew my All-Motor pride out the door. The turbo teg was so much faster and much more fun to drive. So... the bug bit me and I decided to goto the Dark Side...

I first planned to go with a simple GReddy Bolt-On Turbo Kit. Was planning to spend $3000.00 total. Well, after doing alot of research, I decided to go with a Custom turbo kit and get quality products. I've learned that doing it RIGHT from the beginning will save me alot of $$ and headaches later on. So I said **** it, and decided to go all out. Besides, ya know the saying "You get what you pay for."

Well, here we go. I'm getting REALLY close to completing my Custom Turbo kit finally after spending a SHIETLOAD of $$$$. I just need a couple more things, like a Fluidyne Half-Core Raidator, Slim size fan, oil catch can, intercooler, charge pipe, and dump tube. After that, I should be ready to install everything and Dyno Tune it.

A little background info:

I have a 2000 Integra GS-R, with about 13,000 miles currently. Only driven on weekends. Garaged on the weekdays. Never seen rain, and kept in immaculate condition. (Thank God for my commute car).

My previous All-Motor setup:

And since Cali cops suck, here are some GReddy CARB Stickers I will be putting on once I get everything in there. Just in case I get pulled over and they say ****. I can just point to the stickers and tell them it's a legal kit.

Hopefully, it'll be all done and up and running by the end of the year. My goal is to make around 350-400wHP.

If you guys have any advice, comments or questions, you're more than welcome to ask.

I've been around Honda-Tech for awhile, so I just wanted to keep the Integra family updated on my lil project.

Holy ****... you weren't lying when you said you were going all out. You said you planned on spending around $3000 but my guess is you spent way more than that for all that work... to your setup though, looks good!

It's nice to see someone do it all right from the start. I would like to do the same (starting w/ a swap for lower mileage) but my pockets aren't that deep. Keep us updated!

Oh boy... I spent over $6,000.00 so far and I still have $3k-$4k more to go. The Grand Total will probably be around $10,000.00

Don't forget the cost to maintain it, and to drive it.

skunk2nR....

ive alway loved your car; i remember the for sale post to turn to the dark side... i guess its just been a matter of time. i can see you did your home work too... race eng makes probably if the best, one of them, block guards.

one word as advice. ive spent over 5k in just my motor/work done it (machine shop) youll regret not getting it sleeved unless your like me and think you can pull it off.... (my car isnt done yet so i havent got to prove ****, but i do wish i got sleeves; **** why not i got rest of all the stuff)

any how, looks good as usual, GL HF and drive safe

EDIT: i re-read everything and our setsup are EXACTLY the same(well close i bought a b16, and misc different parts), man id sleeve it before its too late. maybe your only going to make little power, but from your statement above (your addicted too boost)youve tasted it once and your going to want more

(note: wish i wasnt hurt; (car accident; i was passenger; elbo broke in 5pcs; ive got months ahead of me for minimal recovery; my motor just sits waiting me unpatiently)

b16
polish/balanced crank
0.5 over bore, re-honed,(misc machine work head+block)
civic type r crank pulley (No PS+AC)
acl bearnings
eagle rods w/arp fasteners
cp 9:1 81.5mm pistons
itr water pump
ls/gsr/itr oil pump
Race Eng. Block Guard
AEBS Head Studs
port polish head
supertech valves (dished top, black nitrate coding)
supertech retainers
supertech springs
gsr cams (temp; good for turbo )
skunk2 cam gears
obd0-obd1 conversion harness
p28 ecu
uBerdata
Bored/Rebuilt TB 62mm-68mm (thx spaceballs)
RevHard Intake manifold
D1 fuel rail (yes the fuel rail you bought that was crap; havevnt tried mine yet)
Whole motor gasket set (oem; stone)
Full Race Traction bar
Prothane motor mount inserts
Autozone Dual Core 94-97 Del Sol Radiator

ive gotten OF big time hope i dont thread jack ya....

AGAIN NICE JOB SKUNK....ID THINK OF SLEVVES... MEMBER YOU SAID YOU WERE DOING IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME.

::shuts up now::

Dude thats friggin awesome!

BUT, Before you put that stuff in, you NEED to get a **** load of security/anti theft features for your car, it'll be sad to see another "Never thought it would happen to me, car stolen" post here man, SECURITY! Layer n layers of it!!! Especially once you get a FMIC, thieves will be drooling over your car

Where can the Race Engineering Hi-Flow Block Guard be found?

I was looking at the golden eagle, which looks like a good piece, but i noticed how this has allot of coolant passages...

I just wonder if all those coolant passages, might possibly weaken the guard?
