Default Finished new gauge cluster, some pics

I have been wanting to make a full digital gauge cluster with boost, egt, tach, water temp, oil temp. I have looked into the stack gauge clusters, but for the options that I want they are close to 1500.00, and arent easy swappable into a honda. I decided to make one on my own. I used Spa dual digital gauges in boost/egt and oil/water temp as well as a Spa analog/digital tachometer. I took a 92-95 civic dx gauge cluster. Hollowed out the inside, paying close attention so that I could retain all the functional accessory lights like turn signals, oil pressure, battery, etc. The only thing that I couldnt retain is the CEL, but i am rewiring the cluster to use a "dead" led to flash the CEL. The fuel level gauge was disabled as well. For now I have multimeter ends soldered onto the stock fuel sending unit so that I can monitor the resistance level. I have monitored the resistance at various levels of fuel, so I know about when i need to add some more by simply plugging the multimeter ends into the multimeter, and monitoring the resistance. Here is the end product mounted in my civic:

The red buttons on the dash, are the communication buttons for each gauge. It can be used to program each gauge. I have the option of changing the units that the gauges read in, changing the color and brightness of the gauge (green or red, changing the peak and hold function, changing the warning limit led light (if you go above a certain egt level, LED flashes...boost, water and oil temp have this as well). The tach has three LED's for shift points. It has recall as well. Overall i am very happy with the outcome and gauges, thought i was share to give others some ideas if they were interested in making something similar.

*Edit* Eluder2k sneaked some vid footage of the tach testing this afternoon:

I will be at the HPDE event at Watkins glen with the hatch this coming Monday for some road racing, I'll be getting in car video of the entire event and having Eluder2k make a nice, short vid for everyone to show that a boosted honda can handle its own on a road course.

Gauge cluster i had laying around, so that was free. The gauges were around 900.00 for the three of them with all the sensors. It took me about 10 hours to fit everything and install the gauges.

Yeah i can make others if ppl are seriously interested. I just wanted to put this up to show ppl that its possible to create a digital cluster in a DIY kinda way.

52mm.

No mph on this specific configuration of the tachometer. I could have gotten the option for tach and digital speed, tach and odometer. I opted not to for the simple fact that on a road course or drag situation I wont be watching my mph at all.

Damn! That looks great. You got me thinkin now.

Whats the range in voltage for your fuel sending unit? Ie.. 0-5 volts and is it a linear sweep? Like if its 0-5V then at 2.5V your at half a tank.
