Went drifting in the Civic :crook:

Tonight I was going to columbia to pick up my dad form the airport. cool.
So i took my hattch because the curves are fun.
When I got toe the clover leaf to get on the interstate, i was excitied. VTEC here i come
so I get p to about 50 or 60, i dunot how fast I was going....but I was rolling.
Then at teh end of the clover leaf when you are about to hit the merge lane, say 35-50 feet from it, the curve tightens up.

so, as i start drifting, i decide that it would be much better to try and not correct with my inexperience and just go into the dirt on the right side. I didnt want to counter steer the drifit and wind up in the middle of the 6 lane 80mph highway with on coming traffic.
But little did I know there was a concrete ditch down there.
bang!
I end up 180 degress from where I started in a ditch!
i thought to my self "whoa, I just drifted!!! the car is still running and i didnt hit anything so Ill just go back to the gas station."
I wasnt shaken at all.
So I got out and checked the car, and backed it out of the ditch and went to the gas station to hang out there for a while and try to fix the car.
the amazing thing is, at least 5 people drove right by me, saw that i was turned around in a ditch, with hazards on, and the didnt stop!!! people these days!!!
but i did get help at the gas station. drove the car 30 miles home.
The only damage was the front bumber and the front cross memeber had been bent back a little further, so now the hodd wont close all the way.
I will try to take pictures tommorow.

Wow. So how much did you spend to get the FR conversion?

The only thing I experienced in my CRX is a whiplash exiting off the ramp. Nothing big really.

did same thing in my mustang cept i didn't try, i was going maybe 2-5 miles over speed limit and it was on some little country road and there are no lines that makes 2 lanes, its just 1 road and i couldn't see very well and the turn came too fast and i had to turn and my back tires hit the gravel and the back end broke loose .. it was a rush, but i regret it.

could have been worse, i might have flipped the car and rolled.....which I almost did if it wernt for the ditch.

Auto-X? If you want a good hatch you need a really high rear spring rate, and no roll...good for rotation
