Default pre-b18a swap checklist

as some of you may recall, ive got a (running) DA waiting to be gutted for the betterment of my 91 rex. given i have a rather unique situation for this swap as i have the whole car to take parts from, forum searches and googling has produced about 15% of what i really need to know, haha.

my plan is to use

http://crxresource.org/modules...old=0

and

https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=131949

in order to make my swap go as smoothly as possible. they still leave some questions unanswered, though.

one - can i use the motor mounts from each car interchangeably? like when i swap the b18 into the rex, will the teg's mounts work? and will the rex's d15 mounts fit in the teg?

two - is there _any other part_ i will need that arent listed in the tuts or that i cant just pull straight off the integra?

haha, pleeeease be thorough guys. id hate to run into any major (stupid) snaggs when this is my first project and it will involve swapping whole cars out from under one another.

you cannot use the d15 mounts in the teg, and the teg mounts will not work in your rex. you need to get specifically b-series into EF mounts. avid, hasport, innovative, and ebay all make them.

also unless you plan on modifying the TEG's shift linkage you will also need to buy a shift linkage for the swap. usually the sellers of the mounts also sell the shift linkage.

Ah, thank you. That would've been an unpleasant surprise. Haha, ebay makes them? Ebay has the most versatile price-range of any "manufacturer".

So I'm guessing since the shift linkage from the rex won't work in the teg either. Alas. That one will be harder to find, haha.

Yeah, like they said... Aftermarket mounts and shift linkage for B Series into EF. You'll also use the rear mount bracket off of your Integra. Also, depending on what trim Crx you've got, you may need to swap the front hubs. Probably wouldn't be a bad idea anyway if you've got the parts car there to take everything from.

rear mount bracket, ok. is that an interchangeable part with the crx? like the crx's would fit the integra?

also, yeah. =D hubs are definitely getting changed. not only is it an hf, so the spline count is different... but~ i want DA brakes up front. ;D
