So this past weekend I parked my car in my brothers garage cuz I was fixing my garage motor. I get a call from him the next day and he says my car was not there. I go there and im in dis belief. I was litterally about to go insane. right b4 i was about to call the cops I see my car pulling into the drive way . My friends did the same thing to me... Except they were drunk, and I ran in the house ready to kill someone.

Most don't comprehend the immediate change in personality we can experience when dealing with the theft of our cars.

I never dreamed of having a car stolen from me, and it happened twice in less than almost 3 months.

I'm now prepared for the situation differently then i was in the past. Lock, Stock and Two smoking Barrels.

As anyone here knows, I like to joke around a bit but I feel the same as Jim and Jon on this and what Jon said is entirely true. I'll bet anyone who has been through this ordeal of having their ITR stolen will agree that it does change your outlook on the subject.
My attitude now is that any thief who tries to take my car immediately voids their right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

 

Jokes are one thing, cars are another. I never play any practical jokes with other people's cars for that reason. Just IMO.

my fiance has done the same thing to me saying shes wrecked it and that it got stolen......

which she has wrecked my other car before twice so...

but damn....id hit him everynow and then just for the hell of it since he did that to you

 

Had a very similar thing happen to me... ON APRIL FOOLS.

Ex GF took my car to a friends house, and put it in their DRIVEWAY, with a car cover on.

Needless to say... we didn't speak for a week. I mean... what if it would have been taken from the said friends house.

&lt;---- does NOT take that crap lightly!

 

IF this were real, I would have never moved back to chicago EVER! But its good know it was a VERY MEAN JOKE and not real thief.

 

when i first got my teg i crashed at my friends house party in nj. i disabled the car and took the steering wheel in and hid it under the sink. the next day i went to leave and the steering wheel was gone. i thought i was [freak]ed, 4 hours later we found it behind the couch, one of my friends thought it'd be cool to hide it from me.

If that happened to me I would kick my "friends" *** too.... after I recovered from passing out.

the only kinda of playing around in my friends car, that i do, is if he leavesit open or the window down i turn on fan. heat, a turn signal, wipers and if it has a stereo with a set volume (most now just keep turning) i crank it up...

I had a dream someone stole my car, I will admit in my dream I was heated, so I believe getting your car stolen will make you go from sane to insane instantly...
