This problem is occurring with my 1992 Accord EX. My CEL has been coming on and going off for a few months now. Following this issue, the car started to hesitate or jolt under 2-3k rpms. The problem never occurred above 3500 rpm or WOT. In fact, WOT always corrected it. I have run sea foam through a tank of gas. I have replaced the fuel filter. I have replaced the O2 sensor and the air filter. The problem is getting worse, and it throws a code 43 every time I drive the car, almost immediately. The fuel filter fittings are tight; the compression in the motor is near perfect. Spark plugs have been replaced and look fine. Does anyone else have any suggestions; I am about to have to break down and take it in... I hate doing this b/c I never trust mechanics. THANKS for all your help in ADVANCE!

 

Sounds like maybe your egr system needs to be cleaned out do a search on how to clean it

was this code before you change the fuel filter or after you did it???

if it was the latter, maybe you got a bad filter <shrugs> or maybe the seafoam cleaned out alot of crap & has clogged the fuel sock w/in the tank/sump
