Wheel came off going about 50 MPH..
well i was going down the highway in town and my wheel came off my car when i was going about 50 mph...scarey stuff, but im alright and no one else was injured either. anyway, my question is that a mechanic said i need a new spline assembly. where can i find this, is there another name for it? i also need new fenders, front bumper, turnsignals, even my headlight housing cracked. anyone with any info, thanks.
destroyed fender

this is where the rotor ground down after sliding on it for about 100 feet

messed up bumper(all the tabs ripped off the top too)

cracked headlight housing

inside of the rim after it battled with the rotor and popped off; i chased it for about 100-150yards

My wife was driving her 98' Epedition on 22's when she turned the corner and the wheel took off across the field. It wrinkled the fender behind the wheel and destoyed the disc and lugs of course. We were fortunate that she was going slow to turn the corner, she was about a mile from getting on the hwy. That might have rolled the truck.

I found out after that happen, talking to people, that alloy wheels are known for the lugs coming loose from the constant expansion and contraction from heating and cooling of the wheel. I was told by a wheel shop that it's best to check alloy wheels, especially after market wheels every month for proper torquing.

apparently i hit a pothole, which bent my hub assembly, which made my wheel wobble, which shearded the lugs off.

i was thinking more of a 98+ front with a oem type r lip. i had a jdm front once before and i think it looks really nice, but also reminds me of an accord and its a complete theive magnet in NJ

Damn, that's some crazy **** man... Good thing you're alright and you didn't cause any other accidents. That's the thing about potholes. I hit one once and it blew out my tire, nothing as bad as what happened to you. Hope you're able to put it back and better shape than before...

This happend to me once going 35mph in my jacked up 1979 F-150. Almost rolled the damn thing, and I had to climb down a cliff to get the tire. Make sure that no damage was created to the bolt holes on the rim. If they are egg shaped, it will no longer hold.
