99-00 cup holder in 96 dx?
so i broke my "push button" cup holder (the little clip broke so it only stays open)
so i was browsing ebay and notice the 99-00 civic cup holder look a little more sturdy (no push button to open/shut)
just wondering if its a direct fit into my 96?
thanks in advance

bolts right up but i wouldn't recommend getting it, i have a 99 civic with the 96-98 civic cup holders. The 99-00 civic cup holders are the worst out there, theres no leaverage to hold any drinks and the driver side cup holder is way too big. I'd suggest searching for the original 96-98 civic cup holder. Trust me!

agreed. my '00 EJ8 and my '99 EM1 had the worst cupholders of any car i've ever owned.

That's because according to the manual they were designed for you to have a place to put a drink in them while the car is stopped, not for when the car is in motion. Weird huh?

agreed! there only downfall was the ash tray console that limited your height on the cup.
i agree to stick with the 96-98. they will fit but IMO i prefer to stick with the older style.
if your lid latch is busted then just modify what you got to work...
this is what another guy did... simple cabinet latch....

very cheap and effective.... only thing i suggest is to paint that piece black before instaling it

Dude, try the "soap and water" thing yourself before you take a pic and post it for sale. It looks like its been sitting in a cow pasture since 2001. Selling is all in the presentation. In realestate its called "curb appeal".
