well i havent heard of any of them getting stolen. i have only heard of the tein one gettin stolen but i dont know how that happend. but i think it would hard to steal on cause of lojack but i dont know
The newer Civics haven't really trickled down to the kids who can't afford parts. It's so new that only people who have some sort of income can afford it. Not like the previous models where every high schooler can afford a used one... but not all the parts to go with it. I think theft will rise once the model starts to get dated and more people start buying used models. Just my 2c.

I had it on my Type R, didn't help one bit. They never found my car. LoJack does have like a 85-90% success rate. I was part of the unlucky %.

You can never be too safe. The minute that you do, you get jacked. That’s why there is insurance!! You got to pay to play. If someone wants it bad enough then they will take it. I lock mine up regardless how new it is and I have full coverage. You never know who could have a use for your car. Punk kid down the street, poor jdm enthusiast and even shady shops.
Civic's are still the number one stolen vehicle in SoCal followed closely by Toyota's and now oddly enough pick up trucks are on a huge rise....especially ones with 20's. Honda's come with the Lo-Jack option new from the dealers. Lo-Jack does work and usually you will recover the vehicle in a day or two at the most with minimal to no damage. Despite all of the newer technology Honda's and Toyota's ignitions are still fairly simple to either jam or bypass, however they are more difficult than the earlier years. (Up until the early 2000's you could literally jam anything into the ignition of a Toyota and it would turn the ignition) Now depending on where you live the chances of it being stolen are slim. Just make sure you have GAP insurance and most insurance companies give you a good discount on insurance if you have Lo-Jack. Also another suggestion is to purchase your GAP insurance from some where other than the dealer. I paid $200 for GAP through my credit union and the dealer wanted close to $700 for it.
Same, I got LoJack option just for peace of mind. I did not get gap insurance though since the car holds up well depreciation wise. In my old Mazda Mx6, someone stole my stereo and and car battery it was weird.
i guy on 8th got is si stolen he said the doors where locked he left the valet key in the center cup holder but stll they go tinto the car with out breaking any windows and the factory alarm did not go off he said
he got the car..... back found the guy .....

Yeah I have LoJack and Silent Security. Between the cars anti theft components, LoJack and Silent Security. AND the fact I live in the cut in NC, I feel good about my car. Plus my insurance has a $100 Deductible.

Unfortunately this generation civic will probably follow in the same foot steps, just a matter of time

i haven't heard of it much around here. then again we don't even have tegs getting stolen a whole lot.
i havent heard too much of those getting jacked...
There's a type of system that allows you to kill the car whenever u park it. basically it has a code and when u lock your car i think it kills it right away or when you punch the code in, that way, when someone tries to take it even second gear start it, they can't move it at all... they'd have to get a tow or some way to get it. idk how much that system costs but a friend of mine owns a shop and i can see how much it costs. on top of that get lojack... whether it works or not, you might have that chance of getting it back. 90% is better than 0%. i would hate to find out that my si or any car was in a chopshop.
and now the nitemares come.... +shiver+

try to find out what the name of that anti theft system is. someone i know knew some one that stole cars. my friend said that they stole em1s too. what they did was they got the vin numbers of the cars and then they got a key made from the dealer(you know what happen after that).
