Default leaking eng. oil

have been losing oil for quite a while now...nd gettin tired of filling up every so often....the thing is that there is no oil on da floor where it is parked so dont know how or where oil is leaking from....have been told that it might be leakin through a plug near the lower left of the valve cover....any help suggestions

oh yea.....

Cam seal, pull the valve cover off and replace it

ahh...replace the valve cover ...or did u mean replace just the seal??

Ok.... for those that are SMART it's not a cam seal. If you go to a dealer and you order up a cam seal you will get something completely different and on the other side of the engine even!

It's a plug. Dealerships call them valve cover plug. If you're going to change that and you have the spare cash, change your valve cover gasket too.

as rikter said, the cam plug is on the cap side, while the cam seal is on the belt side... that plug goes out in allot of older b series

THANX FOR THE HELP....ILL TRY CHANGING IT SOON AS POSSIBE AS FOR GASKET HOW WOULD IT SET ME BAK...WUTS A GOOD PLACE TO GET IT AT?

excuse my noobnessin my last post i wasnt implaying he was right or wrong on the response he gave i just rewrote it so that it would be easier to understand kause francly i have no idea what the problem kould be ....... hope you get this done and no more leak i kno how it feelz i have a slow leak of transmission fluid and have kno idea where its koming from either .....

it is cam gear plug. happens often, same thing happen to me but yeah its like $5-10 at a acura dealership. quick fix with a little hondabond to good seal. part number 12513-P72-003

new cam seal, i recommend coating the rings with hondabond or some silicone sealant

If you are losing a significant amount of oil, enough for you to notice routine refills I would think some oil would show up on the floor.

Is your motor covered in oil? You may have more of a problem than just leaking oil. You could be possibly burning oil. Just keep that in mind.

its more like i fill up ....once in a while...there is never any oil on the floor...im guessin it might leak while its running...sure its leak from the cam seal for there is some oil sorrounding that area...prob. cuz sealant is coming off!!!
