Nice power especially being made on a victor x manifold. Have you ran it at the track yet?

no track times yet as I got it done last night at 130am lol. Its funny that we spent a good hour squeezing the last 3whp out of it . +2 +2 on the cam gears and a little leaning up top is what did it. Overall AF is about 13.3 .

Heres the motor now.

Ill get some pics of it currently, with the Home Depot PVC Catch can. hahaha. looks like a pipe bomb.

Question why did you go with the B16 piston and not the CIVIC TYPE R's?

The pic is an old pic of when it made 188whp. The victor X made way more power, I had the stock tb on it. This victor x manifold is ported 72mm and each runner has been smoothed out. I have the blox 70mm TB .

ive been revving stock rods to 8200rpms for over 5 years. no issues. :0 snap!
I know peeps that rev em 9k .

honda reliability baby!

yea im a lil concerned cuz ive seen weaker setups than this make these numbers i think you still have atleast another 7-10 whp hidden in there sumwhere for pro2s and a sick build

yea, thats what I was thinking. we ran outta time :/

but yea, We spun it to 8900 on a few runs and it didnt make much more power. peak power came in at 7800. I still need to post up the latest sheet. I need to scan it in.

one of my friends had a fully built ls v top to bottom he made 212 hp on pump and it made power all the way to 10k rpms +. ctr pistons stock ls rods but they were shot peened with arp rod bolts. with the right tune im sure you can still make some more power. good job.

this is what i wanted to do in my hf crx but...now im doin it in an eg.
Im scared of the reliablilty factor of the ls-v.
How much abuse have you done it in those 5 years. If i just puut around in an ls-v and have fun every once and a while.

It should last a while right?

What are the benefits of the Arp rod bolts?

if you build it correctly, there's no reason an ls-v should be any less reliable than any other motor.

ARP rod bolts are stonger and can take more abuse without stretching.
