IL owners, be aware of Arlington Acura
I took my TSX in for oil change last wed. After I went home and then went to the restaurant, parked my car, I notice a scratch under the front bumper on the passenger side about 1.5 inch long and 1/2 inch wide. The scratch was really deep all the way into the rubber and the paint is still attached to the bumper peeled off.
I immediated called Arlington Acura and spoke with this guy called Matt Pennington. At first, he said he would see what he could do, but since service was close, he would have to call me back the next day. Next day morning, he called me back. First thing he said was that since I only took the car in for oil change, there is nothing he can do about the damage. That was the first non-sense he said. After a bunch more saying from him that makes no sense (if anyone wants to read about it, I can write it). Then, he managed to say that I am not as valued customer as his other customer and pretty much denied all responsibility.
That's not worst... I called Acura corp to complain about it. This guy called Brain contacted the dealer. He said he got a copy of the work order from the dealer saying that "I notice the damage before dropping off the car" and had my signature on it. Arlington Acura had wrote extra words on the work order after I signed it. I told Brian I could provide him with the receipt copy that doesn't have any of those words, but Brain from Acura corp just told me even if he had it, it would have not change a thing and told me to just go other route such as file a law suit against the dealer.
So everyone, I strongly suggest staying away from them.
cliff note: took car in for oil change, notice scratch after taking the car back. dealer said things to degrade customer, denied all responsibility. Acura corp received fake document from the dealer and couldn't do anything.

Wow that sucks.
I'd suggest calling Acura corp one more time and talk to someone else.
I never had an issue that dealer didnt fix, but I have heard Acura corp is the way to get things done.

I am not sure rather talking to another Acura corp rep would change much. Brian said he already talked to his managers. It sounds like Acura corp doesn't want anything to do with it. Arlington Acura just wants to get away from any mistake they made.
Now, thinking back, it is very weird. After the oil change, they took my car to wash. And it took over 30 minute for them to do the wash. When I was peeking over the garage, I saw a few of the guys circuling the car. The service advisor came to get me from the waiting area and made me pay and sign the pickup paperwork before they brought me the car, then kept telling me to give them highest score in the survey.

doesn't seem like confronting them would do me any good. If they can send Acura corp fake document, they can alter their computer system and erase all of the work order record. And obviously, sending fake document had to be done by upper management within the dealership as this Matt Pennington guy is pretty high up already. I am sure they told all their employees to look out for me if I come in looking for any proof.
wow that is a shatty situation. i recently had minor work done under warranty at my local dealership (Acura of Concord, CA) and two days after, someone from the "client relations" department phoned me to follow up and make sure everything went smoothly. as always, their service was superb. i think she was based out of that local dealership since her contact number was in the same area code.
give that dealership a call and see if they have a similar dept. i would definitely try acura corp one more time too, and keep climbing that ladder of authority as necessary.

The person I spoke with "Matt Pennington" was the customer relations manager. It probably has to do with the dealership itself trying to hide from any mistake. I previously had bad experience with them, but nowhere as bad as this.

poor poor poor customer service
they can't say that crap, i say you go back to the dealership slam that receipt you had when you dropped off the car...if the valet didn't see the scratches and didn't mark it on your copy, that means it wasn't there before you dropped it off.

What a retard that Matt guy...I bet he and his mates did that accidentally and made up those horrid lies.
Lesson that we all have to take...always check our beloved cars before drove out from the dealer.
My brother's bimmer got real bad, and my bro didn't check at first but luckily I was driving behind him. I notice, right before he turn left out from the dealership.
Sorry to hear what happened man...

wow, what scum...can even confess to their own mistakes and fess up, let alone forged documents...I say you scan a copy of your work order and then send it to them and they'll know for sure they faked documents and will be in real big trouble thats what i would do!
Post this in GDD and have a non-stop train load of phone blitz on that dealer
stuff like this pisses me off, i get better service treatment when i was in toyota for the smallest sh-t than buying a car from honda(let alone warranty works
)
if you have the original copy then save that, i am sure someone in the corp office will step up
