which panels are you referring to? ive done several installs in civics...its pretty easy. Most of the panels are clipped in with a few screws. You want remote turn on wire from behind the deck? Do you have navi? stock radio?
well i am running my power inside my fender, and want to run it along the bottom of the doors under those plastic covers. (ps. 4 dr) Its a stock deck and i don't really want to take it out but if i have to i will. my friend said in his car he used an accessory fuze and connected the remote wire to that. If that would be possible it would be easy and i could run it along with the power cable to the trunk.
I will have to use a line out converter also. To get signal from rear, i have heard that is the only way when using the stock deck.
Still have to get one do you recommend any?

well while i sit here and wait ill tell you how to take off the door pannels. i didnt need to remove them during the power/remote turn on wire but i took it off any just to see what it looked like lol.
keep in mind i have a coupe. might not be exactly the same.
there are 3 phillips screws holding it down, 2 under the left arm rest on the door (driver side) and 1 inside the handle. remove them.
from the bottom, pull outward. if you can feel that no more tabs are attached, pull up ward.
reverse directions to put back on

No wait. i might have wrote it wrong. I don't need to take of the doors. ahah
that plastic thing under the door. the other plastic that hold the carpet down i guess.

okay, i may have done too much, but i sincerely hope this helps you
along the way i removed the drive seat belt and B pillar pannel to run the power/remote turn on wire easily. i also removed my back seat to make the running wire easier. under the backseat is where i tucked all the wires

remove the screw and deadpedal. pull (purple) towards the center console to remove the tabs. then UP to relieve the clips. pannel popper recommended. pannel surrounding the hood latch also has to be removed for easier tucking
blue and red represent power and remote turn on (everything tucked)

i pinch the remote turn on wire to fuse 35. upped the factory 7.5 amp fuse to a 10 amp.

zoomed out.

engine bay tuckage

set the fuse there.

power wire leading to grommet.

about 8 inches west of the brake booster, there is a squarish rectangularish rubber grommet, i ran the power wire through there. a snake would be helpful.

zoomed out.

as for the RCA wire, i cut off the 2 male connector pieces, stripped them and "T-Tapped" the positive negative to my rear right speaker.
all wires are tucked under the backseat.

annnd just for kicks

just pull it up! nothing much holding it down. as far as remote goes if your using the stock radio you will need a line level converter. pull the connection from your current sub (if si) tap into it and connect the converter. the converter powers up from the radio feed to the sub and the remote wire on the converter goes to the amp. I have a peripheral converter that cost about $30. you should be able to get one at any sterio shop. good luck hope this helps!
Nighhawk, nice job very helpful. will do the same thing with the remote wire. The 07 civic doesn't have that hole in the firewall by the a accelerator so i am using a different rout. Would i have to up the fuze to a 10 or will the current one 7,5 be ok?
and as for the line out converter. Im still confused. you only tapped into 1 speaker right?, because you are only running one sub?
"as for the RCA wire, i cut off the 2 male connector pieces" the male connectors are the ones that plug into the amp or just the wire that goes to the speaker?

but my civic is an 07. are you talking about the rubber grommet in the firewall? there is no hole by the gas pedal. its just a bad angle but the power wire runs up more in the first pic i posted. but if you can find a different route, coo.
i gave the 7.5 amp fuse a lil more juice to avoid problems. i gave it a 10 just to be safe.
yes i only tapped 1 speaker with the RCA wires. that ran directly to my amp. the other end of the RCA wire had the male connector pieces that just plugged directly into the amp.
i am running 2 subs, 2 10inch. from EACH sub i have 8 guage ( i think) of speaker wire that going to my 2 chan amp. i bridged it at the amp for more power.

this job does not require messing with the headunit whatsoever
edit: sorry i read that wrong, i didnt use a line level converter.

ahh i get it now. Kool im glad it works for you without a line out converter. never thought of that.
8 awg for speaker wire. dang thats pretty big. Imo but whatever works right
im pretty sure there is an extra 10 fuze in the engine bay area where the fuzes are so ill just pull one from there. Going to go to Best buy try to get a line out converter if ot goign to order one.
ps. Should i have to tap into both speakers in the rear or will one be enough since i am only using 1 sub?

lol i work for a car audio shop and we have ROLLS and rolls of 8 guage speaker wire, so whatever
should be an extra 10 in your fuse box, yes.
you can only tap into 1 speaker using the RCA wire, since theres only 1 +/- input in the amp.

edit:
very decent, cant go wrong with JL Audio. im using their lowest subwoofer version. that **** HIITSSS!
but i turn it down to evenly blend with the stock speakers. very good indeed.
i paid 300$ for 2 JL 10's, the box and amp and all the hardware. did the install myself at my work place.

ahh nice.
all im paying for is the wiring kit $30 and the converter about $30
i got a free sub and a free amp from my bro.
the amp sucks though ahaha only 1 channel is working and giving off a really low rms, around 200 or so i believe, IDK they don't have the specs for it anymore its an old amp. the sub has 500 rms.

So i went to best buy and got a converter for 28 total.
do i have to connect the wires from the converter to the left and right speaker or do i just tap into one?
and for the remote when i wire it up the the accessory fuse do i have to wrap it around both sides of the fuse?
