Default Could This Be 2.0 ITR Engine? [No, Not Just Another B20B VTEC Build]

I'm building an engnine for my Phoenix Yellow ITR X 2000 Spec at the moment. This engine was already B20B Block [Standard Ripped with everything intact] with JDM ITR B18C 98 Spec Head [again, everything is factory; IM, TB, Valves, Valvesprings, Retainer, Distributor, etc. except B16B Cams] It also has been drilled and wired for VTEC as well.

And since I want to achieve the most reliability out of this engine [beside some kick in the pants pull] so I have decided to build the all motor 2.0L ITR engine instead.

Here are the list of what I have for building this engine!!

Block
1. B20B Block [Bored for 84.5 RSMachines ITR Pistons! < Thanx Anthony >]
2. B20B Crankshaft [Micro-Polished & Balanced]
3. Eagle RODs [ARP Bolts Included Apparently]
4. ACL Race Bearings + Thrust Washers
5. ITR Oil & Water Pumps
6. ARP Head Studs + Bolts
7. JDM ITR 98 Spec Pulleys, A/C, etc.

Head
1. JDM ITR 98 Spec Head [Somewhat Port & Valve Jobs]
2. JDM ITR 98 Spec Valves
3. B16B Cams [Polished]
4. SuperTech Valvesprings + Retainers
5. JDM ITR 98 Spec Intake Manifold + InLineFour's 68mm. Throttle Body
6. Nissan's RB20DETT Fuel Injectors + SARD Fuel Regulator
7. Spoon Chipped ECU Box
[Not Spoon ROM though, just the Spoon OBD1 Box with Harness Conversion]

There are other little stuffs I'll be using [and to be mentioned as the build progresses] as I go along. I started last Saturday and this weekend this 2.0 little beast should be done [I work fully time]

Here I go!!

The blocked has been bored to 84.5mm to accomodate RSMachines ITR Spec pistons. I tried to clean the block the best I can. I know, it could be re-painted but then I'm too lazy for that..

^^RSMachines 84.5 ITR Spec Pistons + Eagle RODs + ACL Bearings^^

^^Polished & Balanced B20B Crank + RacingGear Flywheel [4kg.] + Balanced JDM ITR 98 Spec Pulley!^^

^^ACL Race Bearings Installed^^

Phew, That's it for now...
The rest are coming soon this weekend...
Comments & Suggestions Welcome!!

Thanx for reading!!

Very similar to my next build, except I'll be using Honda bearings, OE rods w/ARP's, Rocket Motorsports springs/retainers and M22X cams...

Aside from that, we're pretty similar. I'm following this thread for updates...

Good luck!

My B20 build in progress has an almost identical bottem-end setup, except I'm 85mm.

Good stuff. When you want a real kick in the pants, invest in a set of cams and valvetrain!

My bad..I apologized [and edited] for my typo...the block was bored!!

How true, but I'm lookin' at 215-220whp+ and I think this would do just that. And yeah, when I want a kick I could just put beefier cams & cam gears in and get its ECU retuned but this is a daily street car [probably will never see any track] so this should be enough though.

The works on the block & the head so far is less than US$100...
Yeah, Thailand baby..labor's cheap here!

My machine shop would laugh at me if I asked for bore/hone, polish/balance for $100!

Must be nice. My last machine shop bill was $450.
