Default AIR FILTER QUESTION ASAP

I have an AEM CAI, and I took off my air filter to clean it just tonight. But it's like extremely hard to put back on (I mean ridiculous). So I was wondering if it's okay to drive without the air filter on? (temporary until I get to work)
Thanks guys...stupid air filter, caused me so much trouble today.

It's not about it sliding in. I disconnected the filter from the rubber. Is the rubber suppose to come off with it? Remember, I have AEM V2 CAI.

Nope you broke it off. Just order a new aem synthetic dry filter, they are reusable just like the k&n filters but they are dry, no oiling needed.

Ghetto, but it worked for a few friends of mine as a temporary fix. You get a nylon stocking or pantyhose and duct tape or clamp that to the intake tube, make sure its secured on tight though, you don't want that getting sucked up into your motor.

If you even consider driving without an air filter, then you don't deserve a car.
