Before you refer me to the 1000000+ pg traction bar thread (which I went through already) hear me out.


I ordered a set of Avid traction bars (BNIB from a ebay store) mainly to help my caster problem (long story) on my car that I DD. Anyways, the only problem I have with them is ground clearance. They are about an inch lower than my header and PWJDM front lip (refer to my 1st pic) and I tend to hit them on a regular basis (f'n up my alignment regularly) and my car isn't slammed what so ever (lowered on neuspeed sport/kyb gr2s). Also, when I compared them to a friend Avid traction bars, they look similar. His bars mounted to the toe hook and curve toward the block (like a piece of macaroni from the side view), while mines go straight down. His bars gives him the same clearance as stock while mines greatly reduced it.

So my questions are..... Is that traction bar Avid brand and just a different version from my homie or did the ebay seller get over on me? Also what traction bar would you suggest that would give me good ground clearance? Thanks for your time.
