Default BluePrint MFG. prototype K-series intake manifold PICS!!!!

Here is the new intake manifold we've been developing for the K-series engine.

Approximately 6 months were spent in the design process and 160 hours were spent manufacturing the prototype. All design and production was conducted locally in the USA. This manifold was designed in Solidworks and created in a rapid prototyping machine. The prototype is made in two halves from ABS plastic then joined together.

This is one half of the intake manifold in the prototyping machine.

The gray material is support that the machine builds to hold the manifold while it is being made. Once the process is complete, the support is removed leaving the finished manifold half.

Completed left half of intake manifold. The two halves are then glued together to provide a functional intake manifold.

Features:
-70mm throttle body opening
-Bolt patterns that match an RBC or PRB throttle body
-4 additional injector ports on the bottom of the manifold for nitrous oxide, methanol/water injection, or 8 injector setups.
-Removable plenum plate (not pictured) to allow easy access for further porting or cooling modifications
-Available with or without RBC water passage
-Fits in the same area as a standard RBC intake manifold. If an RBC intake manifold fits on your car, this manifold will also fit.

The completed prototype was tested today on a Superflow SF-600 flowbench. During testing, a plate was placed across the open plenum to seal it and air was drawn through the 70mm throttle body opening. For comparisons sake, we've flowed stock RBC and ported RBC manifolds on the same flowbench in the past.

All testing done @ 28'' of water

Stock RBC: 280 cfm
Ported RBC: 320 cfm

What is the production piece going to be made of? What is the target price?

like stated before...what is ti going to be made of? Also you should look to make one for the F20B and H22 since they are now becoming more popular for the H2B swap...

The manifold will probably be made from aluminum. The rapid protype can be used for investment casing which eliminates a Ton of machining work.

Anyway, I'm wondering why you designed the plenum with that huge step inside? Was your design intent to maximize the Plenum volume?

The air flow is great, I just wonder how much that thing is going to cost.

looks really good guys. i was wondering why this thread was locked yesterday. finally something cool in this forum, and it didnt appear they were pressing a sale.

anyways it looks like there is a lot of taper built into the runner. have you guys run the particular configuration to see what RPM range it targets? or care to share on your reasoning for it?

also how did it flow compared to the other manifolds bolted to a cylinder head on the bench??

im curious on why they didnt try a 45 degree section in the plenum by the alternator area how much better do you think that would have flown had they of done that??

We are currently still in the testing stages of this manifold and will be doing some dyno testing within the next week if our schedule allows us. There is no problems with clearance in the engine bay. As far as pricing and when this item will be in production, that will be determined after dyno testing and results. For this post we are only showing what we have in development. We will make a new post for pricing and production time in the near future ( along with sponsoring this forum ). Thank you everyone for the views. We will keep everyone posted with results.
