Default 2point6's Accord going k24

Just wanted to let those who are interested know that I dropped my Accord off at Hasport today, so they could fab up the engine mounts, axles, and wiring harness needed to make the K24 swap possible in my Accord. This kit will be based on the CRV or Accord K24 mated to an Accord gearbox.

The kit is due to be released at the end of December '07 or January '08.

Stay tuned for updates as I will post them as I get them.

What does this have to do with Preludes you might ask? Well, while I was there, I saw the K24 placed in a 4th gen Prelude. The engine looks very nice in place. I am sure the Prelude kit will be released right before the Accord kit is done.

Good to hear. Seems like there has been an awful long wait for K-swap stuff for Preludes.

Aww just when my Lude is finally starting to sneek up on that accord you have to go and throw down the K card haha. Sounds pretty damn cool though!

And axles, and throttle cable, and A/C, and P/S, and wiring, and intakes, and exhausts, etc. I don't think this will be one of the more straight forward swaps, but it will be nice to see none the less.

My thoughts exactly.

Someone is going to start making some $$ on adapters to go from obd1->obd2b so you can put a k pro in a prelude. lol weird.

All the other people (Civic, integra, whatever) seem to be able to pull it off though. So it can't be impossible. Just hard

no kidding....the ONLY reason I'd ever consider this swap would be for the 6spd.

A hole cost of a swap just to have 1 more econo gear? I believe you would do it not only for a 6speed but for the n/a goodness that is the k series. Do it Matt

Have you guys seen a K/F series engine up close? I'm building an F20C for an 01 S2k, and you can clearly see ares where the F20C is a "better" engine, IMO.

I probably wouldn't do the swap for a while, but it certainly would be nice to have an H1 built K24 in my Prelude.

Definitely wouldn't suck!
I just still see it as what can be done comparably for the money...
for getting Hasport involved, as Im sure theyre eating some of the cost.

Yes the whole cost of the swap would be worth that one gear.

If I was going to spend the $$, I could make just as much power with an H setup as I could with a K. Not some bolt on BS.
